Should I go the fender flare route? Im seriously considering it.



Im looking at some deep liped wheels now actually. Or should I go with just rolling and pulling the fenders?

 

i like it looks clean got a question is this going on the boosted miata or the green one??

yea that looks pretty mean. go for it.

 

save your money and buy the FD but if i must choose between keeping the boosted miata with or without the fender flares and some nice deep dish wheels.............................i would go with the flares and wheels, again only if it's on the boosted miata because a look like that must have some Hp!!!

 

Oh yeah its the bossted one. I sold the green m edtion a while ago. I wouldnt dream of making a stock miata look like that. Id look mighty stupid the second someone wants a go at the car lol. Im waiting to hear back from someone about the flares and wheels.

I havent seen your miata, but i say yessssss. looks friken hot with that wider stance.

 

look in the for sale section of wheels and tires, someone posted a pic of a red Miata with 15x8 wheels that had a zero offset that looked real SWEET... no fender flares and the wheels looked real good with a nice dish on them...

I know that car Joe. I might go that route first, wider wheels and then pull and roll the fenders. If I dont like the look, its fender flare time.

Rotary Miata's Rare [my friend has twin turbo miata]
Have seen Porche kits on 1stgens with wide wheels, I think that's what they used in SCCA cars on track in 80's
anyway I vote flares, show and go look

Does anyone know of any 7's with flares like that? and yes they look wicked on the miata Post some pics when your done painting and putting them on.

I like the look of the flares, but w/ wide wheels (that stick out of the regular wheelewll).

I like those wheels ALOT... If they would fit my 7 I would have gotten them myself BUT they don't have the offset i need..

Since i have a lowly little miata, I only use 15's (man its good that things are cheap for this car lol) . The offset is 0. Yes, 0. What offset do you wanna run? I have yet to see and 1st gen, or any 7 with rims like these. They would look badass on your 7

 

I believe that I need anywhere from a +15 to +26 but not positive. I am going to try some Rota wheeels that a friend of mine has with a +26 to see how they fit. I want a rim with a lip but don't what them to stick out past the fenders..

The rotas might be the way to go as I know they have alot more offset choices then the Sportmax do. Make that speed machine you got purtier for the DSR meet on the 11th lol

 

Friday seems to be the day for my shipments to come in. Anyone willing to give up a little garage space for me to do the fender cutting?
