I don't know anything about this. Can you give me some general info?
So, this was a rotary motorcycle engine? Did Suzuki make the engine? How long was it in production?
If if didn't last in production, was there some drawbackt to it? Low power? Poor reliability? etc.
Does it feel noticeably different from a piston motorcycle engine?
How many rotors?
It looks like it's water cooled.
Any major differences between this motorcycle engine and our Mazda rotaries, other than size, that you can think of?
Thanks for any info you can provide.

Well the idea is to have one each of several cars, and each one is a fight with the wifey. For every extra GSL-SE I have, there's an RX-4, REPU or FD that I can't.

Ok, found a blue RE5 (the exact color I want) and am working out the details on it.
If anyone is interested in this red one let me know as I will be selling it.
It does run but like most will need some work.
This is the rare model with the oil can looking gauges with slide cover and rear tail light.

To answer some questions:
It does run and shifts fine, but it will need some work hence the price of $2500.
I have not had anytime to go over the bike. I have found some small problems and plan to soak it in seafoam then a few oil changes.
If it ran perfect the price would be much higher.
This RE5 is not like most as it has the cover over the gauges and matching tail light, hard to find.

Yes, its a Suzuki rotary engine that only stayed in production for 2 years. Reason for this is because people werent buying, they were just too afraid of the completely different design. Suzuki built a whole new assembly line to produce this bike and spent large sums of money on R&D and when the project finally launched (and late at that), people werent interested. This project of Suzuki' almost put the company out of busness, not alot of people know that. So owning one is like having a piece of history put in a realy corny way lol. It wasnt marketed as a sporty bike, so power wasnt the major selling point, it was the smoothness of the engine. I will say it's one of the smoothest bike I've ever ridden, but that doesnt say a whole lot considering I ride nothing but bikes of that era. The engine is roughly a 498cc single rotor and yes it is water cooled. Had the project stayed in production longer there would have been a twin rotor. Reason for this is because of the enormous radiator for such a small engine, Suzuki was planning ahead but unfortunately the project didn't last. There were only 2600 units pruduced.

Red bike is still for sale but it is not that red any more. I found out while stripping the paint that it is an original blue bike. Tank is primer black right now. Bike also has a different seat on it.
Bike will run and is a good bike to restore. These are hard to find with the round gauge cover and round tail light.
Price is lowered to 1900
