Thanks everyone. I hope to get the engine bay done, motor back in so I can have the car at Zoom Fest.
As for the paint, that is a rust paint. I will be laying the mazda silver on it as soon as the paint gets here. It will be mazda 3rd gen silver so it will match my 93.

Are you undercoating the car as well? If so what are you using? I am wanting to try a product called Lizard skinz I believe. Curious what your resto plans were. Again, looks good, and that silver is going to lay down easy cheesy over that base color you have down. Should be able to do the whole car with 1/2 gallon or less. I am torn between a matte black or a gloss black with copper flake for my final color on the FB.. I can decide other peoples colors but not my own.

I am using a product called rust bullet.

Billy,
Here is my steering shaft removed...... the engine bay has nothing in it. Now to lay a light black primer so I will see where I lay the silver paint and then clear it.

Worked on the car friday night till 1am. Had to spray a light coat of black primer to the rust bullet so I could lay down the silver paint and see where I have gone.
Paint is done and clear is done.

Fender wells have been coated with black bed liner to help with rock chips.

Some suspension is on and the car is starting to look sick! Pics in dew time.......

Looks nice Chad!I am going to be in your neck'o the woods this fathers day weekend.(Sat night till tuesday)visiting the inlaws I will be in Nashville so I am trying to think if I need any of the parts you are selling OR if I just want to come look at that thing in person...The 79 I want that suspension on mine so it would be cool to see it in person.

Also it will get me out of the house Don't know if we will be in the Newly paintedFC( Painting yesterday and today my own CYM blend ) Or whether I will take the Half Bridge FD which I have running N/A for break-in. Either way we are hitting the Gap on the way up.

Hit me up. Wish my Fd was running or my 79 but only the ole 90 is. I need to get my IC, piping, and some odds and ends back on so I can get the FD tuned and back on the road.
