moving to Hiawassee, Ga Aug 5
i am moving from Wisconsin to Hiawassee in a few weeks and am excited to be just over 100 miles from my favorite road course. lots of good memories. I also spent a couple of years of my life in the Army in Georgia... Fort Gordon and Fort Stewart. i will enjoy the mountain twisties but will also be looking for something straight to do some 3rd gear road tuning... i also look forward to meeting SE rotary guys, hopefully saying hello to Roger and Nancy Mandeville in Spartanburg and am dangerously close to Charlotte where i could get into all kinds of trouble with NASCAR support engineering companies.
Hello SE!
Howard.
Hello SE!
Howard.
Welcome Welcome Welcome to Georgia Howard. I love the twisties the best with my rotary, so you're in a great area. As Ray and others have said we have a great rotary collection of cars and rotorheads in North Georgia. We get together at the Mall of Georgia area monthly in Buford, GA.
And when you pass by Road Atlanta, the Lanier Racetrack is now Lanier Raceplex with karting and events. Jim Downing purchased, then developed the track back in 2013.
Also, when you visit Mazmart, if you make it on a Friday, we can maybe arrange for you to tour the Downing/Atlanta facility, just across the road.
