I need to get Simon the vid's so that he can post them. Sorry I couldnt get some of the guys cars, as my camera sucks at night. These are the only photos where you can make out. I took like 100 pics, these are the only ones you can see stuff. Well I'm going to sleep...

What times did the FD's get? And what happened to Phil? I barely recognized his car without his rims.

It was a privilege to have so many nice RX7s out there. The announcer even mentioned it.
Many had traction and boost leak issues, but the cars were gorgeous and I hope everyone had a great time. I was able to make four more 11 sec passes to back it up after the 11.5.
60' in the shitty 2 second range, and all trapping 124. Got plenty of video, need time to post. Phil was pulling hard on that last run, really sorry about the motor. We HAVE to do this again.

15 psi exactly. I had a full tank of gas at the first run and 3/4 tank by the last one. As usual I was not doing the burnouts too well which resulted in bad wheel hop on many runs and a little sideways action in 2nd. I am happy with the times but I think the consistent 124 mph trap indicates that the car is better than the driver. I was running C16 all night.
It was not Midnight fagness. It was Test'n'Tune, the night before nopi. I was the first one to tech and the second one to run after Efantis (7 sec Poopra). My strategy worked this time (showing up early to TEST AND TUNE) and actually managed 9 runs, even with spending a chunk of time in between runs fixing various boost leaks.

Agreed. Don't worry man, at least you figured out what went wrong. 3rd gear is a bitch I always do it more carefully than all the others. Your car is still the shieet especially now with the CF skirts and I beleive it has a 13 flat in it on street tires.

Also congrats to EL5Letra who despite not being happy with his decent time and especially trap, still managed to smoke a Lightning.

I have learned that the earlier you tech, the shorter the tech line, and the sooner you get to start running, which in turn results in less people in line to run at first, so you get your first 3-4 runs out of the way fast and then the line starts and you get to wait like everyone else and hopefully get like 3 more runs. That's how I managed to run 4 very low 12s messing up bad and then 5 deep in the 11s. By the way it was so funny, they warned me to slow down, and I got a VERY serious talking to at the end. As I tried to get back in line, they cut me off with a golf cart and shined lights on me and asked for my timeslips. Then they proceeded to inform me not to even try to come back to Moroso with this car without a 5 point cage, harness, and jacket. I'm officially banned but it was funny as hell. You should have seen the look they gave this redneck dude who tried to stick up for me.

Unhappy

rear rotor lost all compression . was still able to drive all the way home.it took a full tank of gas to get back and only a litle over a 1/4 tank to get there .my intentions were to tune the car with the wideband and not race.the first race i felt detanation at the top of third. the second race i was watching the wideband in third gear and i saw 12.7 to 1 so i tried to richen it up a little.so i knew it was going to be my last race so i asked roland to line up with me.i was running stock tires so we agreed to let me take a little head start.it felt really strong first second and third. switched into forth it felt like nothing was there.i knew the motor was toast.maybe race fuel would have save me.

Phil - Doouble thanks on fixing my brake lights!! I would have been up a creek if not for you. Sorry about your engine. Hopefully atleast the turbines will be undamaged.

Greg - Thank you for donating you batt. tray to a worthy cause! The tech's were picky and checked everyones batteries.

Ali - Thanks for donating your sock...although the psi was more than what Hanes designed it for.

I think the meet was very good. ALOT of 7's came out. Like Roland said, we got 9 runs in w/ the serious down time between to fix cars. Back to back running all night...would have probably been more than anyones clutch could've handled.
My problem for my shitty times was one thing...that stupid IC pipe. I did not have one run without it popping off either at the line, or shifting to third.

It was great meeting all the new faces and everyones cars were really good looking.

I tried to tell you guys to run the good smelling stuff.... man I'm sorry. Your car was pulling hard as hell, it would have definitely been a deep deep 12 sec pass if the motor held. Glad everyone had a great time, it was good experience. Next time we can all be prepared (shoes, jeans, battery stuff, real tires, good hose clamps). Everyone has a good attitude about how it went so hopefully we can have a good showing again next time.

quick notes....
Ali, must use flash.
Roland, good times man very impressive and nice trap speeds. I forget what your exact set up is. I know you're running a T78, not sure if you're ported or what computer you're running.
Raj, two words.... T-bolt clamps
