Here is something I wanted to pass along in case some of you don't know. Next Friday, the 30th, quite a few people are "legally" gathering at the Speedway off 840 to race. If the turnout is good then the dragstrip project might be completed. Gates open at 5. $20 to race and I forgot what the spectator rate is. The races will be held in the pit area I am told. Bring your helmet or borrow one if your racing. If your record is like mine then this is much cheaper than street racing. (Not that i condone such activities of course.) This is held every other friday. The street races at the fairgrounds are still going on for those of you who want to go in circles. The fairgrounds races are heads up races so..."run what you brung". I will be at the Speedway on the 30th. I would like to see some 7s represented there.

I am on vacation all next week so I should be ready by next friday.

 

Well everyone we are back from 4days in the hospital. Little baby girl is here and doing well. Mommy also is well and we are all happy to be home. Now to get some rest over the next few days.

Congrats Chad on the little girl. I have three, they are fun until they're teenagers, then the real fun starts. Mine are all 14,16,17. Congrats again and have fun.

SCCA Autocross June 1st and June 15th at the Nashville Speedway. I'm gonna try to make them both if anyone wants to come out. We can do lunch/dinner after.

Hey guys, is anyone here interested in coming down and making a day of the OGTA lakehouse get together on June 7th? Chad, I was hoping you might be able to come down but can definitely understand with the new girl. Anyone up for it?

 

Im off Fri and Sat night so I plan on making a trip to the Roses cruise in and to the speedway if anyone else is interested I may see you there.

 

The SCCA will be at the Speedway off 840 I assume? Is the Nashville Speedway the one in the fairgrounds? I get them mixed up. What time on the 1st?

 

correct, the Superspeedway off 840. TRSCCA.COM has the "official" times but if you are going to run, get there by 9:00 so you have time to register, do tech, and walk the course. First car off is usually around 11:00.

If your rolling this way hit me up. I plan to roll out around 8am and we can roll over together.

 

Well the wife had to go back to the hospital today to get cut back open.
With all this I still plan to come on Sunday but might have to cut it short if the mother in law can't come over.

 

Thanks for the info. Sorry to hear about the wife. Hopefully all is well with her and the baby. I don't think I will will make it that early. I may have to skip the 1st. On another note: I did not see any 7s at the Speedway friday night. We smoked everyone we raced with a 91 Eagle Talon AWD pushing 20 pounds of boost. I hope to see some of you guys there next time. I met one guy in Madison a while back with a T2 boosting 20+ so I know there are some fast 7s out there. Maybe I will have mine ready by then. It's still fun driving other peoples projects until then.

 

Sorry I missed you, but then again I would have missed out anyway since I was under the assumption that they raced on Sat nights. Im off next Fri but I was told that the races are taken place every other weekend untill the decision is made to have it every Fri night. Correct me if im wrong.

 

Your correct FC. The races at the SuperSpeedway are held every other Friday night.

Hey is this going to happen for sure? I just got my FD to Nashville this week and would love to meet people in the Middle Tn rotary community.

Oh ya, I would also need directions to get to Logan's because I have only been to Murfreesburo twice and got lost both times.
