I personally don't see anything wrong with ANYONE making a commission for helping someone sell some off their items if they asked for the help. It is the person who ownes the items responsibility to set a price and if I/you are able to sell it for more than what they wanted then I/you should be entitled to the difference. The owner of the items is the one who GAVE UP on trying to sell the items and asked for the help, it wouldn't be my fault that I was able to move the items faster and at a greater price! If you really want to get technical, the owner of the items should have OFFERED to give me/you money for helping them out.
In my personal situation, I had a friend help me sell a car about 5 years ago, and I gave him a MINIMUM price I wanted and told him if he was able to get more than I would GIVE him a commission. That friend of mine actually got $1000 more for the car than I wanted and I let him keep it because I GOT WHAT I WAS ASKING for so that was just extra that he deserved for moving the car quicker than I could have. I am in no way DEFENDING anyone BUT the truth be told WE would all love to make a commission for helping sell goods...
No one works for FREE or does anything for FREE unless they expect something in return sometime down the line. SO all the BULLSHIT talkers need to get real and STOP trying to act like their HALO"S are glowing.........

I am with you 100% as well.. whoever this guy is that had those seats for sale and only wanted $450 for them should just be content that preacher was able to sell them so quickly. Preacher, what you should have done instead is to have bought the seats from the guy for $450 and then sell them yourself. Like that you satisfied his price and not have to look back at him. he wouldve got his money and you make yours. You were not thinking straight preacher and that was a dumb thing to do. Next time just buy the seats and then resell them.. less hassle.
The same you should have done with the car.. buy it and then resell it.
