Me and my 20B FD project are moving to Charlotte
Hi guys,
I am moving to Charlotte next week for at least 6 months. I'd love to meet up with other FD owners once I get settled in. If anyone knows of a garage for rent near the city please let me know. I still have a lot of work to do on the FD 20b project and am not sure where I am going to do it. Also, I'm looking for a good fabricator to do an exhaust system and a body shop.

good body shop would be final finish paint and body. they do amazing work. they had an fd up there a while back and that thing looks sick. a bit pricey but its worth the money you'll spend. they do a lot of high end work on football players cars and **** so they no what they're doing. also, like skylance said, ernst at rx7world can help you out with any mechanical needs. so far as garages go id recomend just renting out a self storage thing and keeping a few locks on the door

I started looking apts, condos, and townhouses today. I found a pretty nice one that has a detached garage. The complex is immaculate, has tennis courts, and a coffee bar. They would probably evict me the first time I left the garage door open and they saw the automotive horror show I have going on.

Thanks for the input guys. I just got a place in the Dilworth area with a garage. If it doesn't work out I'll get a storage place.
I'm really looking forward to getting the car back. The manifold/downpipe is more or less done. Next week it goes to another shop to have the twin supra fuel pump carrier built, new brake lines installed (the stock lines in the engine compartment don't fit anymore because I modified the firewall), and the 4" exhaust system built. After that I'm shipping it down here to be painted. My goal is to get it on the road by the end of the summer.

Sounds like quite the setup. Let me know when you get into town. I'd love to check out your FD. Also I can give you heads up on car meets if you are into them.
Cheers.
Cheers.
