I spoke to Tony 'Dreamofmyrx7' who just held the first CEN FLA RX CLUB Meet in Orlando this past weekend. He told me that he had close to 20 people show up including our very own Frankie "Kandela" and Summer "Mazdagirl81". There were only RX-7's that showed up and the RX-8's were a NO SHOW.

Tony said that he was surprised to see how many RX's actually showed up to his first meet and that people were excited to hear of the newly formed CENFLA RX CLUB that has branched off our SOFLA RX CLUB. They will be having the same logo as ours and pretty much the same format. So that is pretty cool. Tony is trying to get them to come down for the Homestead Speedway event next month so that should prove to be a great event.

 

i didn't realize this event started at 6:00. too bad it's on the same day as ultra. count me out on this one.

Well I called today but he had already left. I left my number so he calls me tomorrow, but it looks like I missed the deadline for the parade lap.

 

Yo.. u have not missed the deadline as of yet...

I spoke to both Alex and Joe over at HMS and they also told me that the ticket is for the 25th which is saturday..

The parade lap will commence at approximately 2 PM on that saturday.

He also said not to get there late... try to get there as early as possible in the morning because traffic will be chaotic... and the Homie Cops are not so nice.. kinda like Miami Springs Fuzz...

 

yea are you guys meeting up anywhere? i know it's kinda early or whatever, but what time is everyone planning on getting there...?

 

I may make the big drive down there just for this. I'll see if my car is ready for a the long-haul by then.

I have sent emails and called a lot of them up.. but guess what ? As always... no one returns emails or calls... or they dont get on the forum... Now watch.. the day of the event a lot of them will be callling rushing to get in on the action... so what is a ***** to do man... I put the word out there as much as I can... you can ask anyone and they will tell you... I have done my part.

Its gonna suck if we cant be the ones who have the most cars out there. !

 

BTW: guys this last weekend we had an AutoX at HMS and due to a conflict with the carts being there the same day... we got to use the roadcourse for the autoX

Now you guys won't be doing these kind of speeds, but I thought you'd enjoy! (yeah, I know they're watermarked...just cross your eyes or something )
