Hello SC people. I'm glad to say that I'm home finally after 5 month of been deployed to South East Asia for Tsunami relief and some other boring stuff. I got home yesterday, on my Birthday too. I came home to a room full of parts for the FD so I'm going to be busy for a while. I just want to say hello and is good to be back Home.

The dorchester Dragstrip is open on Sunday, if anyone is interested. It is the first day of the season. (here anyways). Reese did you check on jackson, and see if they are open yet, or when they are open. You did say they that had a 1/4 mile track right??

Yes. There are two 1/4 mile tracks that I know of. Jackson is one and Darlington is the other. Dorchester is 1/8 isn't it? I'll look into the drag strips right now and post back in a minute.

Chris, you had BETTER make it. We have things to discuss... heh.

I'm just not going to worry about. I'm going out w/ the same guys friday night so its all good. Has anyone heard from Chris (rotorboy)? I think I'll call the guy I bought my car from actually, he was a rotary freak and had a FD also, maybe if its not too short of notice he'd like to drive down w/ us.

 

ok, just checked Jackson. They are open for the season, but there will be no grudge racing this weekend. They have a points series going on or something. It looks like they will be doing more of the Tursday night grudge racing this month.

In case you haven't seen the forum at my site, we will be meeting up with the SC Probes club at the end of this month or first week of next month at Jackson. Right now it's looking like a Thursday night event. More updates as they come in.

Yes Reese it is a 1/8 mile track, they have repaved the strip and i heard that they put some money in to it, i know that it wasnt really that nice of a place to go. I am down with any kind of grudge match. Right now my boss at pepsi wants to race his Mustang against mine. I hope he doesnt fire me when i take all of his money

The ABC purchase will be for after you leave the meeting, right? Just making sure you knew there's no alcohol at the meetings.

Secondly, it will be at Ben's house, which is just a few miles away from mine. To get to my house, just get on 26 and head towards Charleston. My exit is 101A. I live about 1 mile from there, so you could just come to my place and follow to Ben's if you like.
