Mar 05 SC Rx7 Meet

what would be cool is a noon or 1pm meeting, in Greenville, then a caravan drive up to ceasar head over look. and have us a mini Deals Gap. Ceasars Head is 30 miles north of the center of Greenville. There is a Ruby Tuesday's just south of Furman University, and some other restruants there at Cherydale Point. There is a nice theater there too. Ceasars head from there is like 30 mins. at 20 miles or so. There's close to 25 parking spots at the over look. with a gift shop, pinic tables, and yes, bathrooms. I see bikes and sport car clubs out there. This a good chance to get some driving in without having to spend a night somewhere.

The blue ridge parkway is nice, but that's quiet a haul. If we did that loop. I'd sugguest we meet at the famous Beacon in Spartanburg and then head up to the blue ridge parkway up i-26.

The other option is a combo of the two, there is a loop i take where you can go up to ceasars head then up to the blue ridge and back over to i-26 and come down. More of a meet involving driving would be nice.

If we do the whole loop. i'd go from the beacon in spartanburg right up i-26 to the blue rigde parkway. Then over and down. Just a thought this isn't that far for ppl in the NC club to come. They can meet us in Hendersonville, NC.

I think once every quarter we should do something big, but what do i know i'm new

If you're checking your calendar thats March 5th. The thing is check is a noon or 1pm start. Maybe we can have the club shirts by then.

Like ones saying, " I didnt break down on the Blue Ridge" jk.
I'd like to be working on heading up the upstate chapter. So when the club comes up here I'd set all the plans and events up.

Hey does anyone know someone who is selling sleek headlights? I have figured that i will just get those instead of replacing headlight covers all the time. I just got 2 new ones and then i lost one when i was driving home. I guess you cant go 130 with the lights up. It snapped the brackets right off. Maybe i will just steal nieto's while he is in germany. Is that ok nieto??

how about you "borrow" them. hehehe. The blue ridge could be closed, sometimes it is, but it's been fairly warm up there, unusally warm. So we'll just have to play it by ear. The easy thing would just be Greenville, eat up north of town and goto Ceasar's head if the Blue Ridge is closed. I like this stripped down forum, no pics, no nothing. I am working on my website for my car here soon, and would love to display the cars in the club on there own page.

I was wondering about if the blue ridge would be closed. I was up there last april and it was closed, they had just had a nice ice storm roll through. Our luck it would be closed so Ceasar's head would probably work best. How far is that from greenville??

about 20 miles from the center of Greenville, if we ate somewhere up north of town in cherrydale point we'd about about 20 mins from the top, maybe 30. Not too far really.

That's what I'm already working on at my site. I've already extended the invite for people to send me info on their cars so they can be displayed.

Thus far, I've received a few pictures but no information.

I don't see much point in having the SCRX-7 site in two different places.

Saying that SCRX-7s won't be?

People can have pictures wherever they want, granted. It just made more sense to me to have member's pictures ON the club site.

I KNOW that I'm not great at websites, but I do my best. If you're not comfortable donating time to the actual site, then that's fine. Perhaps you could make yours for the Greenville area and we can link to it from the main site?

Sounds like a nice plan to have a scenic mountain drive, but until I get some tennants, all my time in SC is going to be for business, not pleasure.

I'd be up for it if my car is running by then, otherwise I'd rather spend the time working on it or studying as I dont seem to have a whole lot of free time as of late.

Landon you are tightening the brackets down way too hard!! Also dont attach them when its cold (the plastic is more brittle). But for you to be loosing that many something is definately wrong.
And Neito's are kits that are incomplete. I have to finish them for him.

I'll see what i can find out. BTW, have you considered a Fiero wing? Two pedestal. I'm not sure if you can get one with a third brake light or not. Go to Teamfc3s.org and search for fiero convertible.

Not bad.
