Looking for a 13bt motor in SoFla

Hey guys i'm about to swap and bad 13b in a gxl and before i do wanted to see if any one has or knows someone with a 13bt sense i'm goign to get a turbo kit sooner or later inless in my noobness i missed something, i know 13bs can get turbo upgraded no problem but was told that the bt is better for it and all that. if that not true let me know and i'll still to my 13b.

Also looking for used turbo/super kits for a 13b gen 2 89-91 and/or a exhaust system that give good power upgrade, none of that +5hp b.s. i've seen out there.

No idea of where to buy "used" engines locally.

go to the 2nd gen FAQ and read

bascially:
13b N/A has 6 ports and higher compression rotors
13bT has 4 ports and lower compression rotors (allowing to boost more safely)

IMO you'll be better off getting a TII rather than converting a N/A into a turbo.
and you could buy Jspec engines all day long on the net.

I would suggest to go N/A for now and get your ride on the road... the TII swap is a nice option but it will cost you quite a bit of mula...

Listen to the wise ones....
It is expensive to go turbo on an N/A car. Talking from experience, I have about 2K into my turbo project that doesn't run yet and that doesn't include the upgraded turbo I need or the tuning that it will require in the future to get it to run right. Get it to run first and enjoy it while you save for your upgrades.

jeff_man get me online if you want on aol CA TwEaK123 but no you cannot turbo the 13B n/a motor unless you have the correct amount of fuel and you can boost more than about 6 mayb 7 pounds due to its higher compression rotors.... also the tranny wouldnt last no more than mayb 4 or 5 hard runs the tranny wasnt designed to take the abuse that a 13BT can produce... and if you decide to change the tranny to a 13BT tranny you also need to change the rearend and driveshaft your looking into a $4000 project to get it done half right....
