Haha I don't think any part of your car is STS legal. It'll be good to have another rotary out there though.

That pic, and the others in that set, were taken at the Walters State event year or two ago. Actually upping the boost will induce oversteer, since she has alot of understeer right now (braking the nose just dives for pavement), those pics were taken with new front tires and old balding rear tires so she kicked alot easier then.

The yacht ran in GS then, though now Ill have to reclass myself as the motor's been bored out a bit and i'm fixing to up the boost pressure.

Trying to solve an understeer problem by adding more power is the American way.

Heh, thats just the short term way, long term involves coilovers and beefy sway bars to combat the nose dives and to keep balance in the force... so we bandage it the american way, then fix it the mazda way

For now why don't you try tire pressure adjustments? A little goes a long way.

thats just it, tire pressure's are fine. the wheels show no scubbing on sidewalls and hold fine. but the body roll is just severe.

Hey, did you guys notice the pair of 1st gens on craigslist for 1k and 1300 out in knoxville? someone 'could' pick them up on the cheap and have what looks like decent bodies to work with, or even just clean em up to resell.

You talking about the two in Dandridge? "Just needs a little cleaning," "runs great, nice car and nice interior." Both cars look like they're rusted to the ground. No offense to the seller but I've seen nicer first gens at Pull-a-part.

The 82 in Morristown looks decent though. I'm glad I don't need any more of these things.

yeah i meant the ones in dandridge. They very well may not be running right now, though ive seen rougher fire right up after some cleaning. As for rusted to the ground, doubtful. Grass is long and theyve prolly sank a bit in mud...ground oout this way suuuuucks.

16G for the SQ showed up today...in she goes tomorrow for moar boooooooooooost~

Whoooooooooooooooosh~

You're just going to have to face the fact that you're never going to be a size 4, Josh.

So wait...why are you needing an S4 body? Is there something wrong with the one you have or do you just have an S4 motor trying to go into an S5 shell or what?

Ohhhhh found some more pics of that one autocross I was in with the sled.

When I said she has body roll...
Here I am givin her all she can take

I bought an s5 that had an s4 engine, and was unaware of the electrical problems, instead of setting my house on fire trying to correct the ghetto rigged wiring, i believe finding an s4 body w/ funtional electronics would be the better, and simpler alternative.

Aha, though IIRC, you only need teh S4 engine harness and S4 dash harness's and the S4 cluster to make it work right. OR, pick up a set of S5 intake manifolds and other related S5 specific parts to make it right, the keg wont care if its s4 or s5

none the features inside work dude, it had an s4 TII gauge cluster, and the speedo cable had been removed completly. the fuel pump relay died on the previous owner, and since he was too much of a cheap *** to replace it, he bypassed the relay completly and wired it straight into the ignition. i think the engine and dash harnesses are correct, but still, nothing works. (lights, switches, blower motor, sunroof, mirrors, etc.) feel free to come and take a look at it if you want. if you can get everything working i'd pay you a fair amount, it would save me a **** ton not only in money, but time.

yeah...ill have to pass on wiring jobs. I only do wiring for two occasions: Installing items in my cars (still have an EBC, the safc, and some radio stuff to do in the Conquest), and troubleshooting my wiring.

Really running the fuel pump on its own circuit isnt a bad idea, so long as you have it on a new relay an maybe a toggle switch.

Other than that Ive not seen any S4's up for sale, you 'could' potentially bug landers to see if he has a shell he can sell to you, IIRC he was still parting a car or two out, and if the money's green he 'should' be reasonable to deal with, just dont pester him constantly lol

Great event Saturday! Well over 100 cars participated, including some cruisers from the local police departments. I checked the times and Louis and I both "got away." I ended up with some nice cone scuffs on both doors. I supposedly won a gift card from Earl Duff Subaru but the dude has yet to call me back and get my info Oh well. It was a fitting end to the race season. Here's some shots courtesy of Bonnie:

Carnage! Downed one cone on that last one and wobbled two more. I think she got some shots of the 8, too, so I'll have to get those from her.
