just today. Im in love! Its a 91 with a newly rebuilt engine. Exhuast seems to be custom already (as when i checked it out, i saw that there WERENT 2 presilencers like the haynes say there is and deff. no cat in it...), other than that its a fully stock NA. Not many problems but maybe you guys could help me out on the minor ones i have...

Doors dont lock. I press the latch on the driver door down, they both go down, close the door and bam, i can open in no problem, and the latch will be back in the UP position....im clueless on this one....

The person whom repainted it (from red to black) did a crap job, 2 or 3 drip spots and very bad hole filling.

Only the door interior lights come on when door it open, havent checked all the bulbs to see if they are blown though.

Missing the oval shapped tube (about 4 inches long) that runs between the air intake (at the front of the car) and the air box (doesnt matter, it will have a short ram or cold air intake soon enough).

cd player doesnt work...wah, im an audio installer at the sanford flea market....im sure i can get whatever i want cheap...

much love for the fc and my door locks do the same thing lol. just lock them EACH and slam the **** outta the door.

 

are you holding the handles as you close it??

 

yeah my friend looked at it and told me it may be like his mothers old honda where you had to hold the handles....I tried it and it worked...Now i just have to replace several interior lights (as the only ones that work are the guages and the door panel lights...Can someone tell me if the AC is supposed to light up ALL the buttons or just the arrows and the slide bar...i cant tell what im setting my ac to.....Had a small gremlin today where i would gas the car with the cluch held down dropping it into first and it would rev to 2 grand and drop to almost nothing then rev to 2 grand etc, clutch all the way down...Couldnt get it to do it again since so i assume it was nothing special...

What i would really like to know is what is the average idle when in nuetral and in first with the clutch down for the 91 NA. Mine seems to only idle at 500 in neutral, and in first with the clutch down it will sit at 1000 for a sec then drop to almost nothing, then back up to a grand....I dont know if thats normal, been a long time since i have driven a manual...If im sitting in neutral and rev the engine hard and let off the gas it drops to almost nothing and gets VERY close to stalling...are these bad signs of something or is it pretty much normal. My engine was supposedly just rebuilt with something under 1000 miles on it...and has a new clutch, or so im told....

 

same idle problem here, let me know if you figure it out, im stumped
