Angry It's official, SC has pissed me off

As many of you know, I have moved to SC so that I can be closer to work, and closer to my car (lol). Yesterday I started changing my address with various entities that I have to do business with. I started with my auto insurance (progressive). They informed me that I could not just change my address, but since I moved into a different state I would have to also buy a new policy. This is fine and I have no desire to change - Progressive has always treated me right, even after I got a ticket. So they put me through to a SC office. They walk through all the steps, and guess what! Just because I moved to SC, my insurance payments just *DOUBLED*! It's the same flippin' policy, just in SC!

Thanks for listening. [/rant]

On a positive note, I just found out that the vending machines here at work have "Moon Pies"!!!!!! So this is gonna be a good day!

I've been off my parent's policy for years. And the MX-6 isn't a sports car, I think its actually considered a sedan since it's based off the 626 and front wheel drive.

CRAZY. Absolutely ridiculous. And guess what! when you turn 21, in some states they will increase insurance again. Why? because you are now *legally* able to drink. Therefore, you WILL drink an drive and therefore your insurance will go up.

Yeah, kinda like how beer is bad for you. Very very very bad. Until you turn 21. Then it is the multi-vitamin of choice.

Please leave, chances are you will probably drop your policy after you get your plates and be yet another un or under insured drivers on the road.

No, dude, that thought never crossed my mind. I know better than that. Let's just say, "I'm not your typical Carolinian!", and leave it at that.
