ignition question (FB, MSD, FC coil content)

I'm kinda rusty here...

If I install an MSD box to convert my leading ignition, instead of using two single coils, I can just use an FC leading coil, right? I'd hook up the positive and negative wires on the MSD 6A to the terminals on the coil, and it'd be the same as jumping the positives and negatives of two separate coils...right?

I am going off of this: http://www.mazspeed.com/msd.htm

I guess what I am wondering is if both FC leading coils fire at the same time.

Maybe somebody can help me.

I think the distributor controls the timing, the coils dont do anything but produce spark.
So in turn, they can be setup to spark what ever the timing is.
