What's up, guys?
My name is Zach, and I live in Kernersville. I bought an 88 GXL project/drift beater when I was 16. In 2008 I lost my license for drifting, hahaha, and parked the FC. I've recently gotten it back from my old house, and am working on it. It starts great, and doesn't run too badly. (could use some attention, but it'd be fine to put tags on and drive.)
This is my hello!
I'd LOVE to meet up with you guys sometime!

Does anyone have an aluminum hood, or an aftermarket hood that they'd like to sell to me?

Well its good seeing RX7/8's as i pass through Winston on my way home. I also spotted a FB in the pull a part in Winston last Saturday. Engine and transmission was there. Didn't see much missing and body was in decent shape.

Cool man. Sorry again to hear about all ur stuff getting stolen. Glad they didn't get into the cars though. The radiator they got from me was bad enough...if they had been smart enough to grab my wideband or new struts and springs or boost controller or anything else in the car I would have to check myself into the mental hospital. Sad to hear about them getting all your rotor housings....hopefully a one of those recycling centers will call

Does anyone have an exhaust that they're trying to get rid of?
My ex step-dad sold all of my tools and parts when he and my mom split a few years ago, and sold one of my mufflers! -_- Hahahaha, seeing as how I have an s4, I feel like my 5th and 6th ports aren't opening due to a lack of back-pressure.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Guys! I know its been awhile since i've gotten on here but a lot went down in this past year and a half including me wrecking my rx-7 (not my fault). Luckily only the rear end was damaged. So with insurance money i bout a 1990 gxl n/a and did a complete turbo swap from my old fc to the new fc. while i had the motor out i installed the turbo i purchased from Josh. first start it fired right up along with tons of smoke. come to find out the T04H had a pretty bad crack in the hotside due from it being in the back of my 7 when i wrecked it. so i reinstalled my s5 turbo and it started first try and purred like a kitten. but was running extremely rich a friend of mine talked me into ditching the apex'i safc i was running and after that she runs great and only running 8 psi. great compression and the motor runs very strong.

Here's the problem i'm having, i had a turboxs mbc controlling my boost and after the engine swap i wanted to up my boost to 10 psi. after trying for hours and no boost movement i assumed the boost controller was shot from the hybrid crapping out so i bought a hallman pro. i installed and still no further than 7.5 - 8 psi. i have the vaccum lines all routed properly and controller running between the vaccum port on the turbo and the wastegate so it should be working. any ideas would be greatly appreciated and i'm glad to see everyones doing well.

Hey man, long time no see! You should start posting on my Facebook group I added you to awhile back. Crank that mbc all the way up and gradually go into boost, then back it down until you get to 10 psi WOT. I would suggest doing a quick brake boost in 2nd gear around 4000 and be ready to lift if that thing climbs fast. You just have to find that sweet spot on the mbc's.

alright guys, a while back i had asked about installing a grant steering wheel that was given to me to my FB. Sam suggested i used this kit Grant 3597 - Standard Steering Wheel Installation/Horn Kit | O'Reilly Auto Parts

i think i may be getting it soon for my b-day maybe, so i started doing a bit of research on it. my Grant steering wheel is a 5 bolt and this kit will install a 3 bolt. now for another 20+ bucks i could buy an adapter to go from the 3 bolt to a 5 bolt but then i'd have over 40 bucks in just adapters! is there not a 5 bolt hub kit for our cars? on ebay all i see is 6 bolt hubs, and i'm almost leaning on going with a cheapo steering wheel and hub from them for about the price that i'll spend on just adapters for the grant lol unless there's a 5 bolt hub. or if one of you has this spacer that may be willing to work something out with. or maybe a 3 bolt steering wheel they'd be willing to trade for my 5 bolt this has proven to be the most complicated thing to comprehend for me.

nevermind, found the answer a few minutes after posting. i found my steering wheel part number 1067 which is the grant formula 1 steering wheel. aparently i DO need the 3 bolt to 5 bolt (gt) adapter to make this work. i also found out it's a fairly expensive steering wheel at about 120 bucks new. maybe i can get someone to get me the steering shaft adapter and someone else to get the 3 to 5 bolt adapter for my b-day lol

The two tone is cool but there's nothing like an all black truck. So much work to do, but not bad for a daily driver.
