Manny, I'm sorry that you couldn't make it. On a good note we had a descent turn out. I must say it once again, that the first gens rule!!!! I had a good time, and got to meet some new faces. I took some pics guys. As far as who has the most original mint condition first gen, that would have to go to Rick and his awsome '83 LE that he purchased new from Montgomery Mazda in Charlotte.

Rick owns and operates Melson's Auto parts in Troutman. The business has been family owned operated for two generations. I talked Rick into bringing his LE out of retirement a couple of years ago. I rebuilt the carb, fixed the brakes, repaired and retrofitted his AC, replaced the radiator, and installed a new clutch. He has been ever so happy with it since. Great guy.

On to some more pics.

So apparently if you dont pay your phone bill, it gets shut off, who would have figured that? lol so im outta commision for a couple days. Sam i should have the parts you requested today or tomorrow. im just workin stupid hours and have been dealin with a horrible back tire on the bike, but atleast the new tire comes in on monday. So i have been staying in huntersville close to work with a couple of friends. mustangs everywhere, im getting a lil sick of the fox body croud, and its only been two days!!! lol but on a lighter side, one of my buddies has an 93 cherokee with the 5.5 rubicon lift kit, a set of 33's , quick release sway bar connectors, a stubby front four link, and a ton of other random stuff that i gonna be pickin up here in a week or so. i love it when a vehicle has 60lbs of oil pressure at idle at 150,000 miles. pictures comming soon....

I don't know about Mills setup, but mine is working flawlesly. Thanks to Mills again for the fuel pressure regulator. In a third gear pull, full throttle pulling from 3k to 7.5k, at 15 psi, the AFRs stay in the high 11s or low 12s. Man this thing is pulling freakin hard. Just ask Andre

actually not alot of difference at all. but i do have the luxury of being able to tune out lag issues with the tru boost. throttle response is still good too.

Welcome, and hello back at you. We can't wait to have another 7 owner joining our crew.

I think the 'ol FB is getting right where I want it. Time to start sanding the Jeep out, and hopefully get it painted shortly. God knows it needs it

Thanks for the notice Kory. I don't know if me personally would "fit" in with that crowd, but you never know. Long, I think your FB is going to look so much better with a new coat of paint whatever color you go with. Ditching the mouldings is a great idea. I just never thought they belonged on the first gens. Maybe I can convince you to come up one day and give me a hand prepping "Swamp Donkey" for paint

Sounds like a fun little meet Kory, I'll be moving in to my apartment getting ready for school come next Monday tho.

On a side note, car is finally at 15 psi with the stock TMIC. It's taking 760cc of distalled water to cool the AIT's (never exceeded 146F during 3rd and 4th gear pulls) which is bogging the engine considerably but still pulls very very hard. Without the water injection the response and spool is so quick it feels like a boosted v8 even with AFR's being almost in the 9's (way too rich), but temps sky rocket fast as hell (110F-190F in less than 4 seconds in 3rd gear pull).

Conclusion on my little experiment: Chemical cooling has proven to be effective and cool AIT's even when the intercooler is heat soaked and has surpassed its efficiency range. BUT, because the TMIC is so small it needed so much water to keep AIT's resonable that the water is dilluting the combustion process and in a way, absorbing power from each combustion. Finding the happy medium will make one nasty yet reliable setup.

VMIC with meth inj. setup in the works now tho
