Question i was wondering

hello all. i was wondering if anyone would know of any positions opening up in the law enforcement field. I'm from jersey and filled out quite a few applications up here but it seems that no one is hiring at the moment. apparently there is a waiting list( all of a sudden everyone wants to become a cop). i would really appreciate it if anyone could possibly give me a heads up or point me in the right direction. i'll be taking a trip to clearwater, florida the end of this month. i would like to get my resume out to the local departments. thanks for your help

Ray

Become a wildlife officer, you get cool toys (4x4 trucks, ATVs, boats, night vision, etc.). Contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for details.

I know a few Federal Marshalls. Have you considered this field of law enforcement? It can be tedious and boring, but they certainly have their spikes in adrenoline.

Mostly prisoner transport, stake outs, serving federal warrants and protecting federal justices, but their fugitive apprehension activities can be off the chart. Had I persued law enforcement when I retired from the military in 98, it would have been with this agency, but like the rest of law enforcement, you don't really make a hell of a lot of money until you've been there a while or receiving a little extra with special assignment pay. These guys are all over Florida. You just don't know it unless you're a fugitive....

Oh yeah...the Florida Fish and Game or the Forestry Department are good agencies.
