HELP! Please

So I just recently bought a FC Rx-7 GTU/ JDM Turbo swap. I took it to the shop to get what I considered some minor things fixed and it turns out that there are a few major things:
1. The oil is leaking from the blower
2. No speedo cable
3. Lag from when you step on the gas till the turbo kicks in
4. Running rich as HELL, pouring out gas at idle
5. Car bogs out on idle

So basically some things need to be done. The shop (dad's friend) said it could cost over ~1000 to fix everything mechanically. I really hope not.

Pretty much, I need someone near Woodstock, GA to help me out. I bought the car being told the engine was in great condition, I can't afford to pay the shop ~400 to fix some of these things... Any pity?

Unfortunately it may cost even more. But it's worth it if fixed and running right. We all can't afford to fix everything that's busted on the 7...(any "perfect" 7s out there?). Just fix whatever is most important, and save up for the rest. Or learn to do it yourself. Good luck. The forum is a great resource.

speedo cable is very easy to find and install... not a big deal. buy an s5 turbo on the forums for about 200 bones with a manifold and install... not a big deal. find out if the ecu your using is right for the motor.... if everything electrically is okay, check timing and look for a leaky injector. ifs your gonna own an rx7, dont be scared to get your hands dirty. that motor is pretty cut and dry
