FL Help finding a local shop

My husband and I just dropped in the engine on our 94 FD and we are looking for a good shop to take it too to do the wiring (don't trust myself, haha). We had a shop but we have not been able to get in touch with them so I guess we are back at square one. Any recommendations? Any hidden gems? Preferably local (Sarasota/Bradenton) as we'll have to tow it.

I would do it but pettit racing is much closer to you. I would Cam or Cam jr. they're in west palm beach. I'm sure st pete or Tampa has someone reputable.

Kilo is a good bet and im sure they are still around.
but battery relocation and fan wires a good stereo shop could do
Not sure what you plan on doing on wiring harness.

Check out ART Tuning in Sarasota
Advanced Race Technology

YOu dont need to come all the way to palm beach to have Pettit look at it.
Kilo and ART are close options.

If you are in Sarasota ART is your best bet. They have a good rep and have owned a few FDs.

Yeah ART is who we were originally going to go with but we have not been able to get in contact with him lately. We just dropped the engine in two weeks ago and just don't want it sitting too long. We are ready for some power!!!!! HaHa

Thanks Lawless thats a definite idea, I think we might try to do some of it ourselves until we can find a good shop locally that can finish somethings up for us.

We put the diff and trans braces on, thanks Banzai! Also put the drive shaft on and changed the rear diff bushings as well. Decided to eliminate the PPF.

Why did you remove the PPF?

That is not the application that we designed the products for, the PPF is a functional item, our products are designed to strengthen and stabilize the OEM components.

We still have the PPF but we wanted to see once its going how well this will work. The products are great, nice and stiff.
Just wanted to try something new. If it doesn't work, well the PPF goes back on.

The PPF prevents side to side movement, our products prevent up/down movement. You would be better off just installing the PPF, less risk of causing damage to any parts.

Curiosity KILLED the cat.....

I am in 100% agreement with Banzai....Their products are great but they will NOT take the place of the PPF..... It is a must have...

Don't risk your drivetrain just to test out any theories.... The damage may NOT be worth the risk....Just my .002

Good Luck with your project....

Yeah it will go back on. Just working from the ground made it a bit difficult for me. I have to wait till we can get it on a lift. Main reason I bolted it up was just in case we towed the car to the shop my engine wouldn't move so much, but once we put it on and lowered it and installed the engine torque brace It was just so stiff It got me thinking.

On a side note this weekend I plan to tackle some wiring if my back can handle it.

Has anyone heard of Pulpo Racing in Tampa? My brother in law happen to see his shop and told me about it.

Why haven't you tried Mike Lowe , his son Jeremy Lowe is a rookie drifter drifting in a 2nd gen rx7 with a Bad *** rotary engine google him and you will see him I've seen the car and heard the car sounds awesome runs awesome and he has been racing that engine for ever with out tearing it apart . Good tuning good mechanic , mike lowe old 1st gen was super fast before it flipped but they know their stuff . What are you trying to do if you don't mind me asking
