Good paint and body shop in Gainesville?

Ok, so earlier today some dumb girl on a scooter rear ended me. She then whined about how she had just got it two days ago...surprise. Hopefully she does herself and everyone else a favor and stops riding that thing before someone really gets hurt. Unfortunately, she scraped and scratched up my rear bumper pretty good. So I was just wondering if you guys could recommend a good paint and body shop in Gainesville? I know there's a handful of FD owners somewhere in this town that should be able to help me out.

Well the bad news is all the FD owners in Gainesville have pretty much left over the last two years or so. I can think of at least 8 FD's that have moved or sold their cars. There are a couple FD's left but their owners don't ever drive them with the exception of Tom, an older gent who is cool as hell.

There is a new, white FD in town that I've seen twice (I go back on the weekends to see the GF) but haven't met them.

To answer your question, I've yet to find a good paint shop. The one guy that everyone raved about left his shop to go work at a dealership. Do not go to Buchholz Auto.

I can make some calls if you would like and Ruler Mark may be able to make a suggestion but I've never heard much good about paint places in Gville.

You need to go to some meets with us in Orlando or Ocala or something man. I've seen your car on campus over the years once or twice and Bryan from RX7 Boutique gave me your number and I've texted a couple of times but you've never joined us. =(

Hope that changes!

I've seen that white FD driving around on campus as well. Pretty sure it's the same one that I test drove when I was shopping around, but it must be the new owner since I know the previous owner was already finished with school.

But yea, I've been really lazy with getting involved in the FD community. Was planning on going to that engineering car meet that you texted me about, but I think it was on the morning after a football game and I'm sure you're well aware of how much we Gators like to celebrate a win or drink away a loss . But feel free to shoot me another text next time you guys go to another meet. And if you hear anything good about any paint shops nearby in the next couple days or so, please let me know!

Gainesville has a certain charm for some people. I stayed for 15yrs and just recently left to move to Tampa. Good place to raise kids and have a family. I can tell you that as you get older you appreciate more and more each year the consistent crop of 18-22yr old eye candy! =)

Actually saw this car off campus the other day on Main St going to the Post Office. Wouldn't mind meeting the new white FD in town although none of the shennanigans gang is really around anymore.
