cheap like 2-3 dollars last time I checked its easy just get a #10 socket and a rachet and remove the filler neck and take out the thermostat insert plung and tighten plug from there then just bolt the filler neck back on and there u go. if u were in south FL I would help u out but u are far from me

If you don't know where ur thermostat is located then you shoulden't be driving a FD give it to some body that knows about cars you dumbass........

i took out the thermostat and got 2 e-fans from the junk yard and running cooler than heaven , like around 1/4 of the gauge and without a/c and with a/c around as little above 1/4 to half the gauge cool as a baby

 

Took Out The Thermostat. Blocked The Hole With Freeze Plug.. Fan Constantly Run .. 175.. Hit It Hard 185... Never Above That..
Fluidyne Radiator With Royal Purple Ice And Disstled Water..not Hose Water... Aslo Made A Custom Aluminun Piece Under The Frint Bumper To Keep Air Flow Going Thru The Radiator...this Is On A Fd

 

I put a 180 t stat in and now running 170F cruising and 181F gunnin' I have a koyo rad and 4" thick FMIC with ducting using distilled water and water wetter. which is crap by the way in my opinion.

my temps are normally at 89 deg. if i am in the car during a really hot summer afternoon and really pushing the car the temp will raise to 92-93.

 

my car runs at half temp ,day or night. You guys talk about removing the T-stat, I don't know much about 3rd gen but I've been told before not to remove the t-stat on a 2nd gen, what can I do to safely drop temps on it ?
