FD, you will be missed...

A couple of months ago I've had to sell my FD. Needless to say I was pretty bumbed out. My wife saw how I was taking it and wanted to find another FD for me... She had searched far and wide to find an FD for me at a reasonable price. She couldn't find one. After months of searching she pulled into a residential area where she notices a nice old car sitting in the front yard. She talks to the owner and strikes a deal to buy the car for me. The old man liked her and like the fact that she was buying it for her husband. He told her that he wasn't considering selling it but seeing it was supposed to be a surprice for me, he offered to sell it to her at a price that most would pay for the door. When she came home all she said was F E R R A R I 3 0 8... couldn't believe her, but she showed me a picture of it and there it was. a white "Magnum PI" Ferrari 308 sitting in the front yard of some old guys house.

I will always remember the fun and prestige i had with the FD. And someday I might get another FD. But for now, lets see what it feels like owning a Ferrari...

FD you will be missed...

My dad had a 512BB when I was a kid. One thing I remember is he had to put 2g's into it twice a year whether he drove it or not. ..and it was brand new! I know a 308 is no Boxer, but still, I'm sure you're prepared.
At least, as an ex FD owner, you're gonna be ready for overpriced, hard to find parts that seem to melt in your hand. haha

Other than that, Congrats on the new car! Owning ANY Ferrari is a dream come true for most car people. Congrats on the wife, too. I wish MY wifey would buy me a MODEL of a Ferrari.
lol A Hot Wheel even!

Thanks. I was really surprised when she told me what she was doing. you right though, ever since she told me about the car I've been looking up everything I can about the 308. Besides the rotory engine, It' looks like I'm gonna be dealing with the same issues as the FD (parts, price, maintanence...) lol. Still, like owning an FD, how many people can say they own a Ferrari.
