So I was bored Yesterday and since my Mustang just got shipped down here from WI I thought i would see what was around NAS Pensacola. so i decided to head east to FT walton beach. When i got there and the Mary Esther area, i saw some of the worst driving ever. i saw someone put there left turn signal on then turned right followed by a left into the gas station. i swear i saw at least one other person signal for the opposite way.

 

Tourists man. They epically fail at driving and we generally dislike them for jacking up our traffic and beautiful beaches. It's columbus day weekend so they're all in town, looking at everything but the road. It gets worse when the snowbirds get here in force.

I live just a little further east past Destin on 98, have you gone out there yet? The beaches are great, and so is the night life.

Also, there are two major Air Force installations and traffic gets really bad at that area during morning/lunch/afternoon.

 

no i havn't been to destin yet. heard of the water park there. I passed the one Airforce base on the way there. are there any places where the car guys hang out.

 

Man,its these damn terrorists, or tourists. Same difference. Then throw in every ones favorite retirees. Add a dash of 12 and 5 oclock pandemonium, and you get one big clusterfuck. As far as "car meets" go, generally they meet at the swamp parking lot on Tuesdays I believe. welcome to the area!

They meet at the swamp on tuesday nights on okaloosa island. they used to have a website called race850.com but due to dramatic sandy vagina's that site is temporarily shut down so everyone organizes meets and so forth on racingpensacola.com now.
