We will meet in Bham around 8 - 8:30AM CST @ Trussville Mazda parking lot.

We will leave Trussville Mazda @ 8:30 SHARP!

We will then stop off at a gas station in Attalla, AL to meet up with few other Rotorheads and depart Attalla @ 9:30AM SHARP!!

We should arrive @ Ryan's Buffet and Grill in Chattanooga, TN around 12-12:30PM EST and meet other TN/AL/GA rotorheads!

My wife and I will probably see you in Chatt at Ryan's unless we decide to come on down to B'ham on that Thursday night and just caravan with you guys the whole trip.

Part 2

We will Depart Ryan's @ 1:30PM SHARP! and head to NC.

4:00 PM - We will meet all the other guys just before hitting the Dragon (by the water side pull offs in TN side). This will be a short quick meet before going thru the Dragon for the first time.... on the way to Fontana Village.

6:00 PM - Check in, clean up, and unload

6:30 -7 PM - We'll Depart Fontana to head to Robbinsville, NC

7:30PM - Dinner @ the Sweetwater BBQ.

 

Hey Phil where are you stopping in Attalla, at the gas station we stopped on the way home last year?? I will probably just meet ya'll in Attalla it will keep me from having to try and time your pass by Springville so I don't get left behind.

 

I was thinking the exit before the I-759 exit. I think if you turn right there is a fairly large BP gas station. If we could meet there quarter after 9AM that would be great. It should only take us about 30 minutes to get there from Trussville... This would also give some people time to fill up or use the restrooms.

Luis and few others will meet you at that BP station.

 

Ok, I know what you are talking about that sounds like a good place.

 

Second Route from Ryans on Friday to the Dragon..

Alright.. This is more of a scenic route to the other side of the Dragon.. It will most likely take 30-60 mins longer as you will be taking the local highway (>140miles) vs. 1/2 interstate, 1/2 local hwy on the first route (<120miles).

Pretty much at the Ryan parking lot we will divide the group into 2.. One group following me using the 1st route (shorter less scenic) and 2nd group following David Tanksly taking the scenic route (longer). If you never been to DGRR 1st year or the second, I recommend taking the longer route!

 

David will need to leave out from Ryans probably 30min earlier if both groups are planning on meeting back up below the dragon. Or you just planning on both meeting at Fontana, thats kinda what the map looks like??
