The East TN Rotaries are cruising the Dragon this weekend on Sunday and I'd like to extend an invitation to everyone. We'll be leaving Knoxville between 1 and 2 PM which means we'll be in the mountains around 3. If you'd like to come you can arrange to meet us at the Gap or here in Knoxville, or just show up and watch for RX-7's. It's supposed to be a nice afternoon so if you've been wanting to hit the Tail of the Dragon before it turns bitter cold, this is your chance!

 

Maybe we can get some NC 7's to come out .

why are we leaving so late on sunday? It starts to get dark early now because of that gay time change bullshit we have to deal with.
I was thinking of leaving more around like 9 am or so...maybe 10....but thats me because I am not cool like you guys. I suck because im use to getting up early and i cant sleep late because like i said before im a loser....
But if yall plan on leaving that time, i may wait....or i may make a few passes before you guys get there or check out some other roads around here and what not...

Well I've already got non-forum types that are going to meet us here in Knoxville at 1pm, so at least I intend on being there. And Derrick has a passenger seat so he's in too. If you wanna head up early Jason then be my guest. We can always meet you up there. Sunday is sleep-in day for me.

yea I like the sound of that Im an early bird myself . Is everyone up down with that ? Lets switch meet time to at least 9:30 am so we could be up there by 11:30.

 

As I said, I've already agreed to meet Jonathan at the Rothchild place at 1pm. Another RX-7 owner is meeting us there too and will need a ride, so I'm hoping Derrick will at least meet us there at 1.

According to Google maps, Murphy is right off of 129 South of Robbinsville. Probably less than a 45 minute drive from Deals Gap if you just follow 129N. So yeah, it's pretty close.

 

that is cool.. my mother has a cabin there... i visited there last year and posted up that i was going to be there for a few days to try and meet w/ some peeps there... but noone responded...

 

If you get the attention of the East TN guys we're usually down for a cruise, we'll take any excuse to head up in the mountains and burn gas.
