Custom License Plates?
Im looking to get a custom license plate for my FD, is their a way I can get one online through the FL DMV, or do I need to go to where I got my original license plate and complete a forum through them? Thanks
Yea i wanted to change mine too but never did and i mite not cuz of the cop thing.. lets say u get something like Bad Azz 7.... cop will always know its always the same person
I wanted to get a custom plate...until I read this. Last thing I want is a cop remembering my ***. (then again, there isn't a single red fd in my town, so, I'm pretty much getting remembered anyway.)

there's alot of red FD's in orlando.
anyways, if your not breaking the law then don't worry about cops. i had a personalized tag for 2 years and never got a ticket in that time. it doesnt matter what your tag is, if your breaking the law, your getting a ticket.

Vtc this?
1300cc?
I have no idea.
Amen to that. Anyone with a cell phone can call you in. They won't know what car to report, but they'll be able to say it's a sportscar with "Speedfrk" or whatever on it. No sense making it easy for them.
and then the cops say man does speedfrk ever learn.. didnt i just pull him over?
I don't think Cops can do anything with an unsubstantiated claim from some cell phone caller. They could take note of your tag and keep an eye out for you, though. If anyone knows otherwise, let's hear it -- there's certainly a few a-holes in my neighborhood I'd like to call in on!
That's exactly it. If you have an FD, most people don't know what it is. They just know it's a sportscar. With a personalized plate, there's no mistaking that particular car. Ever had a cop sit on your bumper for several miles along the interstate? If you're ever involved in any sort of "incident" it becomes all too easy to track you. Cut some guy off, it's all too easy to call you in on a cell phone. Then you're the subject of unwanted police attention. It's fairly easy for them to find an excuse to pull you over.
