Yeah, I just got done with a nice week-long spring-break in Charleston. I feel refreshed and ready to go.
Anyway, Im in Ballentine a few roads off from Exit 97.
My 7 needs new brakes and a new clutch.

What are you planing to do to/for your rx7?

Well..my mines an 88 vert and the first real upgrade will be an engine swap to a 13bRE and a full racing beat exhaust but right now ive got to replace the clutch with another stock so the car will get me to and from work for about 3 more weeks so i can afford that cosmo engine

Sorry I missed your calls over the weekend. I"m currently trying to nurse a majorly screwed up ankle. I twisted it HARD Friday night prepping for a Parkour event I was hosting Saturday. The ankle and surrounding area are currently purple and the size of a small grapefruit. OUCH!!!

That's really cool that you are going with an -RE motor. I used to have one before I went 3 rotor. It's currently running in a friend's car in Ballentine with a 1/2 BP and a GT40 turbo.

What engine management are you going to use? I'd be happy to offer you opinions, etc and do the installation depending on which way you choose to go.

Talk to you soon!

Street racing cant be that bad.

What color is your rx8? I saw a yellow one going over the bridge, exit 101 or 102 on I-26this after noon.

My brother informed me theres a meet in charlotte this saturday. Theres a thread about it here some-where.

Im not sure what Im going to do In April. I dont think anybody started a SC-rx7-meet-April thread yet.

This thread is/has allready been kinda random.

So i just got back from a show, Im going down my driveway, (a hill that gose into a circle.) And as I driving my 7 around the circle(pretty fast), my passenger side mirror hits a tree.
The mirror is not damaged but the casing around it is cracked in half. - havent done something like that in a while.

Im also in the middel of replacing my brake pads, ive allready done the the front, but having a problem with the rear.
I have to "retract" the piston so the caliper can fit over the new pads. The book says to turn it with pliers, but it wont turn (i could try channel-locks). Anouther thing is the dust-boot is all torn-up, but its not leaking fluid. Also ive noticed when Im in reverse I hear this noise like the parking brake is on.
So, should I take it all apart,(rebuild the calipers) (adjust the parking brake), or is there an easier way to fix these problems??

RX7&RX8 meets: I say If anyone isn't or is going to deals gap in April (its after the 1st of April right?) we should have a simple meet at the usual places in harbison on April 1st.

Many many thanks to Reese(20b10AE) and Performance Concepts for an excellent job with my car. Everything I've asked for has been completed damn fast. Even when it turned out the flywheel was trashed and I couldn't find one anywhere - they were right on it, finding what I needed incredibly fast and getting everything back together all at a *very* reasonable price.

Thanks again,

adam

Yup..thats me lol. I'm very happy with the vert. I'll be picking the car up tonight. Now we'll see how long it takes me to burn up another clutch. if theres one thing I can do - it's destroy a car. My first car ( a focus zx3) went through 3 sets of brakes, 2 clutches, and 2 transmissions before I finally got t-boned and totalled it

More car-body damage.

So today, as I was parking, the front-end went to far over a curb, and scraped.
There was a piece of plastic (from the bumper) hanging down befor, but now a piece of metal is hanging. But its not like its draging on the ground.

On another subject: Ive seen in the past week, A white 1st gen. RX7 going toward the gas-station next to the peak exit on I-26. And a red convertable RX7 going westbound on I-26.

Adam,

KEEP THE RPMs DOWN for the first 200 or so miles. I'd hate to see that clutch get burned up too quickly!
