Cool Cocoa Beach Rotary Gathering of 7's

This is a meet for all RX cars

Lot's of interests have been showed for doing this now.
Everyone is invited from Florida or elsewhere.
We have access to over 70miles of beaches!
there are some great twisty roads that run parallel to the 2 main rivers on beachside that we can cruise[photo-ops]

yes it's hot, but you live in FLORIDA and there is 99% of time a cooler sea breeze than inland, and we do have shade and water since the early 60's.

So to anyone who wants to get invloved post up a list of who is definitely coming over for this, and what they are expected to bring.

Somewhere around the week before or after Labor day if not that weekend.

There is a giant surf/bikini/fundraiser called the National Kidney Foundation that I have attended and gurantee a good time, we can have our own event and or join up with those people[100,000+]. I already have talked to the organizer about doing this before and really want to show that the RX7 crowd is more than Rotorheads.

Posting this now so there is advanced noticed and time to secure locations.
So, the local Central Florida Rotary groups as well as those individuals who have spoken to me at vaious events this year, this is the time to have fun in the sun and relax with rotary people. We could easily have publicity so we get recognized as a Rotary Community, that is established and rival California and others.

or just chill and have a bbq

ok so the dates would be either 8/25 or 8/26, 9/1,2,3 or 9/8,9any of those days. i need at leat 2 weeks notice to secure a pavillion/ and or contact different organizers or managers for locations.

if we ALL decide to chill and grill low key style with just 7's/rotary's that's good. if you want to have the meet w/entertainment etc. that's good too. lmk asap.
it is up to All of us too choose, how big or how much we want to see and do.

if we do the churassco/bbq start a list of what you are actually bringing, and as always, sunscreen, water, basic necessities for survival are up to the individual, but usually there is enough to go around. so for idea 1, for having a rotary bbq list

1. Robrxray.......pavillion/big cooler/ice

ok i m good with 9/1 too

if the majority says this day in a quick response here, i will have time to pick a pavillion in one of the county parks with enough notice. everyone can bring parts to swap/sell also. any club or sponsors stickers, etc. can be swapped.

AC ru you going to ask the rotary alliance and others out that way to join the meet? lmk

Ok this might be a weird request since I'm from WI buuut here goes...

So I have a college internship with Disney World for the next 5 months and really want to see some nice cars while I'm in the good weather...this sounds like just the thing I want to see...

Like I said I'm from WI and I drove down, but didn't bring my 7 with me (1990 GTU...nothing special but I still like 7's)...I drove a 97 pontiac grand am :-/ haha

Anyways I plan on keeping my eye on this thread because I'd be really interested in attending, even if I was only their for the BBQ, at least I'd be there

So i guess my major question would be, if I had the chance to get out to cocoa beach on whatever date you decide (sounds like the 1st), would I be allowed to bum around even though I don't have an RX with me? I could park down the road and walk down to where you are at hahaha, I think i'd end up doing that anyways

But yea, if someone could let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it

Thanks,
Geoff

I don't think any of the guys would not agree on you coming. This is a down to earth crew.

They know about it. I had mentioned it to them. It's just a matter of when.

Ok after 2 minutes of searching the best way that "i" see to get there is 528 and taking 192. Now for the kissimmee boys 192 is the best choice, its a straight shot. No kidding, and 528 there's gonna be some toll money needed. Now caravan sik7ven brought up the idea to meet at the dairy queen right on 192. the orlando guys can drive straight down john young and meet up at dairyqueen with us and its a free drive out or you guys can set up ur own caravan somewhere in orlando and use the idea of 528.
