CMP and VIR track days
All,
Asphalt Venture's last open tracking day of the season will be December 1st on VIR Full Course. The AV format is a full day of open tracking, aimed mainly at drivers with experience, but Stacy does have a provision for those needing/requesting an instructor. This event will also feature Peter Krause as the guest speaker.
A typical day starts at 8am with a driver's meeting to cover the basic rules of passing with point-bys, flags, manned corner worker stations, etc. From 8:30 until about 8:50, there is usually a yellow flag session with no passing to get everyone refamiliarized with the track layout and to clear the cobwebs. From 9am until noon, it is open lapping with a checkered flag at the top of each hour for 5 minutes to give the corner workers a short break. Lunch from noon to 1, with parade laps if desired. From 1pm to 5pm, open lapping resumes with a five minute break at the top of each hour. You WILL get more track time than you can handle. I promise!

Just passing on some track days that me and few other RX7's will be attending. Both of our cars we are brings are LS1 cars I sure think it would be fun to have some friendly competition from some rotary cars.
I am going to be at the CMP event. How do I jhoin the THSCC? I couldn't find a link to joining on the website..hopefully that's not a test to see if I am smart enough to join
Also is it a SCCA or NASA event? Can a NASA memeber participate without a SCCA memebrship?, And Vice-versa. I am joining SCCA anyways soon just curious.
Thanks, Dave. Hope to see ya there.
