FYI:

I just realized this seminar is on the same weekend as Rolex races at the Barber Motorsport park.. Should we try to fit this in to the schedule??

Seems like you met your goal and had BDC's thread closed..Hopefully next time when you hijack a thread and solicit on someone else's thread you'll get banned

Not knocking on you Charlie, or you either Brian, but that wasn't BDC's thread it was Mike's (sk8world). I think that if those people still want Brian to tune their car they can still have that done. Mike and Doc-1 are the only people on this list that were signed up for a tune from BDC. That still doesn't mean they can't attend this seminar as well or doesn't mean they can't get a tune from Brian. I like you Charlie, but I think it's time for us all to move on and let those parties involved try to work things out.

First of all, I would like to respectfully ask you to not start drama on this thread.

Second, as soon as Mike asked to take it somewhere else, I've stop posting on his thread.

I'll keep it at that and stop here.

Thank you!

PHIL

I say try to move it if possible, I would like to go to the Rolex races. We've already missed the Super Bike races due to DGRR. But if not I'll be at the tuning session.

Chris,

As of now, Don and Garfinkle could only do it on that weekend.

Maybe we could attend one of two days at the track (sunday?).

I think it will be fun for all of us to do the serious stuff one day and then have some fun next day! If time pending and pending how many of you are wanting an one on one based with Mr. Westbrook, 22nd, we could goto the track.

What do you think Chuck?? Also, give me a call or PM me if anyone has any questions.

By the way, Barber Motorsport Park is one of the top track in the country! More info: www.barbermotorsports.com

And we could sign up thru RX8 club of GA and get free parking (savings of $10)

Why not have the class both days and go to the track as sort of "recess"? We will need to take a break for lunch, why not do it at the track?

I just want to re-assure what this class is all about.

I know some of you might be afraid that you might blow up your engine because "you are not a professional". Well, I think most of us who have dealt with Mazda mechanics at the dealership knows what I'm talking about... well, some mazda mechanics..

I know me including most of us on this list have done most of the building the car ourselves, without so called, "professionals". And I want people to have a chance to get over this fear about tuning, just as once you might of had when you were first tearing your rotary car.

This Seminar isnt just about you going out and tuning the car yourself but its about learning how things work and increasing your knowledge so that you'll get over your initial fear. which will give you an opportunity to do it yourself if you want to take that avenue. Its really a chance for you to learn about something new and add to your knowledge base to become better Rotary Enthusiast! So, take this opportunity! Again, $50-75 for 4-8hour seminar is DIRT CHEAP!!

Also Most people pay $300-500 on a tune and know absolutely nothing about what the tuner did.. At least this seminar will give you an opportunity to know what they have done and clear up some myth some of you have about tuning..

Those of you know Luis, I just talked to Luis and he might attend this seminar... He's son will most likely race at the July20-22nd event at the Barber and pending schedule, he'll come by.. Those of you don't know Luis, he's been building rotary engines for 25 years. I personally think he's one of the best Rotary engine builder in the country!

I've also asked him about doing a similar seminar about building engines/learning about rotary engine.. he said, "No problem!". That seminar will have to be half as big as this PFC seminar, as all will be hands on demonstration.. I'll work out the details and let you guys know..

I think combination of knowing your engine, porting, building, we will have a better understand about tuning also..

Alright guys..

I think we are pretty good with numbers.. So, Lets start collecting the payment so that Chuck can purchase his ticket to Bham!

The price for this seminar will be.... $55 per person

Here are the payment options..

Local Bham 7 owners: You could pay me in person, or paypal me. If you give me the word that you will pay me back, I'll cover for you.

Non- Alabama residents.. : Paypal would be great!

If you are using credit card via paypal, ADD 3.5%($57) and send it to: philipsohn2004@yahoo.com

If you are using bank transfer (NO debit cards), send $55 to: philipsohn2003@yahoo.com

Again, there are two different paypal accounts (2003 and 2004). Make sure you send it to the right one..

We need to collect the payment ASAP so that Chuck could find the cheapest flight to Bham.. If we wait too long and he can't find a reasonable flight, we would have to raise the cost of this seminar...

Once payment is sent, I will send Chuck PFC/datalogit Packet to your Paypal address (email).

Thanks guys!

PHIL

Hey David! Well, I'll bring my extension cord and multiple surge protectors with 4-5 plugs. I think most of us would need to plug the computer.. Right now, we are trying to find a place big enough to hold 20 people... I have asked few and I'm also going to check my work conference room (lady who handles it didn't come in today). Also, my work, its hard to find a free parking ($6 bucks for 4-6 hrs).

Few other 7 owners are looking into another place for the seminar... We'll find a place

I have a lab top. I suggest if everyone is staying at a hotel get one set up with discount rates or have them throw in the conference room as a bonus.
