Bought it locally, Got it for a steal. Bone stock and 149K. No idea of what kind if any work has been done on it. It appears that nothing has really ever been touched on it. I plan on a Big Stuff 3 and an A/R .70 Turbo. I will custom fab. my own tubing from stainless and most likely do the usual to the internals. The trans needs some new bearings in it... noisy. I did drive it about 300 miles this weekend with no problems. I ran the s**t out of it too. Up Hwy 181 towards Linville NC. That's about a 6-8% grade most of the way

wow it sucked. they had a fd on the dyno that was running like poo, got 200whp. he said "its way too rich... from 4k to 5k, hitting 11.6 A/F"... they have no idea whats going on.
people that dont know about rotarys should stick to the boingers.

Yeah, next time you guys need to come see us! It's ok that you didn't this time. I'll let you slide on that one Seriously though, keep us in mind for your next meet, we have excellent customer satisfaction and I can send references for proof. If you guys want to see what kind of power we can tune, take a look at this video. It's not a rotary, but it makes just under 2***whp. Can't give the exact numbers out, owners request!

The white FD that dynoed needs a power fc to control his fuel because at this point in time he has taken his modifications far past the point where he needed a computer. Power fc + commander and a fuel system are being put in that car as soon as he purchases one.
Sorry if you did not appreciate being able to drink, none of the PSI crew or anyone else was drinking at the event and we made it abundantly clear before hand that NO DRINKING would be allowed.

FBII Yes, I did tell you that no alcohol was allowed...but never did I ask you to leave.
For anyone reading this, I have to say, that it was a good turnout. As for this fellas interpretation of a dyno sheet, I'd say he hasnt spent much time on a dyno with his RX7, or atleast he wasnt doing the actual tunning. He has a good basic understanding of how fuel and ignition works.
Word of wisdom... Those quick to speak up, normaly dont know, those who know, dont speak untill spoken to.
I will be the first to admit that I have blown up my fair share of rotaries....they are fineky (this isnt the guy with the white RX7 by the way, this one of the owners). And I will say that, like most RX7 owners, his head is a little hard to get info into. He is correcting the problem now, as he was running on a stock computer with 99 spec turbos and tons of bolt ons. Any of you out there with this same setup are going to get the same results. Big intercoolers and huge exhausts dont make cars fast, they mearly enable the engine to breathe more efficiently.
Back to our shop. I hope to meet everyone on here at some time or another. We try our best to produce top notch performance vehicles.
As for our beer buddy and his advice, I admire your willingness to speak up infront of so many experienced people. That shows me that you could care less if you sound rediculous in the process. We'd be happy to assist you in any future tunning you may do. You could even come by and help me tune some of my skyline engines.
Thanks for everyones time, I am sorry that some people did not have the best experience. We try to offer the same respect to everyone, even if they dont share that view.

We tried to help... running that car while it was tuned the way it was Is bad.... at the first sign of a problem you should have STOPPED the pull. Seeing rotarys in pain like that is no fun for anyone.
So is cool we got the point. We shouldnt stick our nose in your turf. Have fun tuning your RBs on your own. I dont know boingers and wouldnt speak up about something i didnt know about.
Feel free to post questions about tuning or setups you have on rx7club... Most people on here will answer your questions and help you do what your trying to do. Or you could always just keep calling rotor sports to build your motors.....
I saw a minivan with a psi sticker on it....

look, the only reason i even walked over to that side was to see the screen because we know rotary detonation when we hear it. listening to dan talk about how the plugs are getting wet from fuel made me have to speak up. i'd easily go as far as to say i've been in the rotary world as long as you. i know your tII history and the popped motors, it's all i hear about at infiniti when you come up there getting work done on your skyline. thats why when you guys went right thru the detonation we ran over there because we thought we could help. i wasnt trying to be all "ooh ooohhh look at me... i wanna pitch in" nah **** that. i didnt want to see another rotary pop on the dyno. we had over 8 rx7 people there and everyone cringed listening to that fd on thy dyno. i just wanted to help man. if you knew that guys mods and the lack of support to handle them you shouldnt have even let him get up there. i'm not trying to grudge with you guys. it's good to have events. and about the whole beer thing, whatever... i didn't know that night was special and there was to be no alcohol on the premises. i told you right there i respected that but after thinking about it later it made no sense. all i ever hear is how you guys like to drink while working on cars there at night, i figured i could come in there with my half *** budweiser/ energy drink LOL. it's done with, sorry i started so much talk ???? must have been a pumped up night if you guys are so intent on remembering me come and try to help out/ errr.... make a fool of myself throwing out mis-information as you say. say hi next time your at infiniti.

This is the guy who owns the white fd. First of all let me say that I have spent a lot of money with PSI and trust them completely with my car. Second of all those of you that come on this forum talking **** just need to grow up or get a life. When asked to poor out the beer you should have just done so and not came back on here and cried about it and nobody booted you out. I have been dealing with PSI for years and never seen anyone work on my car while drinking. I appreciate you guys coming over to help but we knew it was detonating but it was MY decision to keep runnin it. It is about time for another motor anyways.
And for ImprezedRS everyone is intitled to their opinins about my exhaust but I think it is jealosy b/c I could still beat you with only 200 hp, it wasn't lean it ran 11.2-12.5 and yes the power FC will fix my problems. And just so you all know I was told that I needed a power FC by PSI but chose to ignore it so it is my fault it ran like it did not theres. I enjoyed the meet and so did many others and I am sorry some of you did not enjoy yourselves. Maybe next time they should roll out the red carpet and have valet parking so none of you will have anything to bitch about. What the hell do you expect from a free event that you didnt help organize. Next plan your own damn meet.

Whoaaa, sounds like too much drama for me. No alcohol is the norm for us at our shop without question. As for tuning........ I always err on the side of caution until the car is dialed in, and I never start any tune with power pulls, no need to with a loading dyno. I don't know you guys at PSI, but I'm sure your a good group of guys, maybe we'll meet someday. I'm no Rotary expert I just like them. I am however very on top of LS1/LS6 and the Modular engines from Ford and just about any stand-alone EFI system. All engines are pretty much tuned the same way if they are done in the correct order from beginning to end. Talk to you guys later,
Aaron.
