I have stepped down as "vice-president", a 2 word, 13 letter[ironic], and a hyphen name, nothing more than that. I was selected, when the club had it's first couple of meets, and have put time, money, and effort into keeping the club going. I am isolated on east coast, but never missed a meet until recently[gas prices], including weekly officer meets. I genuinely, like everybody in club, that has attended the meets or events, that is why i keep coming back, familiarity, breeds respect. There has to be common interests, or why bother. From day one, we have used a democratic vote from "attendees" to pursue club direction, and to get ideas, as to what they would like to participate in.
I do believe that any organization, club, group needs some kind of heirarchy, for guidance and to put ideas/plans into action. there are many street events in orlando, for looser car gatherings, that anyone in area can tell you when and where they are held if you ask.
I do agree that sometimes, I don't want to deal with the structure of club after hard day or night at work or school, but that is generally a 15-30 minute at most, part of meet. I like hanging with the most/more knowlegable people with rx, which helps when working on your own stuff. I look at club as a work in progress, like a car project. The point is... people move on from job to job, or state to state, car to car etc. I have been invited to other car clubs in California, Sevenstock, Deals Gap and others and would like some of my bros to go when we get the chance. Many of the people that attend these events, are just like you and me: it's about the ROTARY!

Rob, you are awesome as a person. You, Rico, Ac and tony are mad cool. You are the reason i join the club. You were always bugging to go to the club meets. I wish i could get rip of the nightmare as soon as possible. I miss my chain saw machine.

Thanx John, take your time, double check, then triple check [nasa style] everything. Better to have 1 awesome job done right , then go back and repeat mistakes. Time management is your friend, use it well. AC, Rico, Paul, and Tony are great board members and the club is in good hands. I am still involved, and have ideas for the club as well. Make it to the meets or events when you can and let people know where we are at, so this club can be like everyone wants it to be, on a National level not just local or state. I have been invited to Sevenstock, NorCal and other events in Cali, and would like some bros to attend when we get the chance. Also, people/company's that are in business across the country are interested in doing business with the club.
