I'm suprised someone hasn't already gone ape **** in that place yet and capped a few of them. It's sad but all of the times I went there years ago I only had minor issues with them but since I've gotten out of the military I feel like they have a biased opinion of me because I have long hair and don't shave. They asked for my ID so naturally I handed them my GA driver's lisence... same one they've had on file for the past 10 years, they take one look at it and ask for my "military ID" and I said, yeah um I got out a few months ago. That's when they said I couldn't title anymore cars in the state, I was like um I have 5 vehicles and a house titled in this state plus I pay taxes, wtf. So they made me go get a NC lisence, which I did, and when I showed back up to them (the DMV gave me a temp paper lisence since I guess they mail them out now) and the ladies said they couldn't accept the paper copy and they needed to see the original. At that point I nearly lost it, what's funny is 5 days later I got the lisence in the mail and went back and that's when they said... oh sorry.. you have several dark ink marks on the title and it looks forged and altered, I was like you got to be kidding me I've been here 4 times already and every time you people tell me something new.

I finally got an RX-7. Is there any rotary clubs, cruise, meets here in the lejeune/jacksonville area?

 

Welcome! It seems in Jacksonville you will have a hard time getting much going. There is a lot of turn over with the military population. I've been in the area for over seven years and we have had some good meets. Some leadership is needed to really keep something going as I mentioned way earlier in this thread. If I lived closer than I do I would take more interest in regular get togethers. Fifty miles away and busy as hell I can't get anymore invoved. I use to make the trip down a couple of times a year, but stuff is so dead I haven't been down for a while. Not to mention the parties always seem to fall on weekends when it seem I have other family things planned. Right now I'm back in collage and working, which also crimps my style sometimes. So the seven action will be what you can help to generate. The people and cars are there!

Nobody meet close to Cary NC

 

We have meets here in the Raleigh area every 3rd Saturday. We used to meet every 2nd and 4th, and went down to just once a month because everyone got married, had to get weekend jobs, or moved away so meeting twice a month was becoming unlikely.
