Redline on the Flightline Autocross - June 14th - Cherry Point
Registration:
NCR-SCCA Redline on the Flightline Auto-X
Please pre-register, even if you're not sure you're coming. This is an active military base, if you're not on the pre-registered list it will make things difficult for you getting through the gate. Also make sure your registration and inspection are current or they will probably not let you on.
When: June 14th
Where: Cherry Point - Havelock, NC (Between Jacksonville and New Bern)
This will be a new site for us. If things go well, they will hopefully invite us back. We have an entire runway all to ourselves, 400 feet wide and 7000 feet long. The event site on Google Maps
Many of us will be driving up Saturday to run a Military-only novice school that the base asked us to put on (If you're active military, come out on Saturday, 1:00 pm). So we'll be staying in Havelock Saturday night at the Days Inn. The caravan for both Saturday and Sunday will meet at the Citgo in Ogden at 6:00 am. It's at the corner of Military cutoff and Market St, right around the corner from NSi in Wilmington, for those of you not familiar with the area.
Hotel information:
Days Inn
1220 E. Main Street
Havelock, NC 28532
(252) 447-1122
We really need to put on a good showing so they'll invite us back. They're rolling out the red carpet for us, so let's put on a good show. There will be bleachers, port-a-johns, and maybe even concessions.
Hope to see you there!

You should still register and come race on Sunday, it's going to be a blast!
Oh ok, now i feel like a D-bag for saying that. I dont think ill race in this one unless i can get the parts from mazda and put them in before then. Will there be spectators or no? If there are ill go regardless just to give the rotary guys some support.
Haha, don't feel bad. It was a legitimate statement. There will be bleachers, and we usually have spectators, I'm just not sure how Cherry Point is going to handle letting civilians who aren't racing in. We'll all be pre-registered and on the list. At New River they're okay with spectators coming in, so I'm not really sure what to tell you.
Yea. To be honest, I dont think it would really be a problem. I live almost directly across the street from Camp Lejeune. I have zero problems getting a pass to get on base. If nothing else ill wear my Pizza Hut uniform to get in.
do you know what the entrance fee for spectators will be? I dont think i saw it in the link you gave.

No one has really set a time or place for a possible meet tonight ( saturday ) so if the weather clears up I'm just gonna head to the Home Depot parking lot around 9 tonight. That cool with everyone?
