I don't know if you guys noticed, but viper boy followed me out Fiday night. I didn't notice him until we left the light on the conner. He was obviously trying to bate me into a race. Which I declined to do, but I wish in a way I could say I got a kill on a Viper. I'm just not willing to put myself or others at risk on the highway. Twenty years ago maybe, but now I'm just an older law abiding citizen (most of the time). It all got my blood pumping that's for sure. Guess I'm asking for it when you have a licence plate that reads like mine! I can tell you this, the next time I get a chance to walk up to this guy and say a few words I'll ask him how much trash he came back and talked. Then I'll know if he even rated a chance to roll side by side with a car built by me, who knows every inch of it and is proud to say most people can't even own unless they live near a shop that can bail them out when it needs work or an oil change! In my mind why should I respect someone who owns a car that any one with money can drive, I mean buy.

Ya, I can see it now. Me trying to torque stall my converter at the line. Sadly I'm no good at all without a rolling start. But if he's as bad at racing as I heard that night he would really be ashamed to be killed by an automatic. I know one thing my intercooler was feeling those cooler temps on late night runs. When I got home, a 45 mile run I popped the hood and my intercooler was cool 3/4s of the way along the top.

Hey NLCFR, The cooling system seems to be cycling like the themostat is causing the up and down temps, how big is the swing in temperature? How much difference is there just leaving it at idle for a while?

thermostat's been out. don't have one.
Its...weird. temp keeps steady until a good 15-20 mins of drive. then the needle climbs slowly and drops like hell back to normal and climbs again. wont go all the way up but climbs a good.. 3/4 of the way. the antifreeze reservoir gets filled w/ boiling antifreeze and its hot as hell. my only thoughts would be 1)the radiator cap is canked, or 2) need a better radiator.
I returned the radiator last night and got me a koyow/ an electric fan on it for $220 on ebay. If the problem persists Ill be shooting @ the water pump.. wich I highly doubt cuz macho just rebuilt the whole engine

i think that might be your problem. without a thermostat it may flow to fast to cool the engine properly. Go buy a new one from advance, they dont cost much.

and viperboy definetly isnt right in the head. I wonder if he was waiting for us to leave the whole time? i think we will definetly have to have a track day. i think a few more 7s need to get done and we will be set to go. once i get my turbo FB goin im game!

i vote for a willmington meet! maybe in a few weeks. any word on a raleigh meet? i know sevens heaven know whats up. when is a good date for everyone and when do they meet?
