Hey guys, the SOLO tech inspection rules say the battery isn't allowed to move AT ALL, but mine moves only as much as the rubber strap (generic replacement... it's not bungee cords though) and the battery tray (OEM fiberglass) allow it to... which is really just the battery tray flexing and the strap stretching maybe 2 mm at most...

How **** are they with that rule? Or it just refering to whether the battery can actually move out of place?

Also, it says it requires good, tight steering, and I've got that, although my quick release hub is crappy and lets the wheel itself (not the steering, per say) flex a bit, but there is NO left/right play, and you can't even notice the other play while driving (still annoying though).

It's hard to tell without actually looking at the car. Best thing will be to bring it out and try it. They will give you your money back if you don't pass tech.

Afraid I won't make it due to my car being a temperamental bitch...and probably from me sucking at everything related to maintenance and repair.

Great event, and their were some big boys there to go along with the new 350z taking back over BS. A fully preped Scooby, WOW at the tires, out of Mobile took top time by 1.4 seconds over the 2nd place car.

I'll miss the next for DGRR but I should be there the rest of the year.

Thanks SPICcnmGT!

I rode with Chris and he an amazing driver! He had the 2nd best time just behind the all out race prep Scooby.

I also mounted my camera on Chris' car and filmed couple of his runs. I'll post that tonight.

Thanks PHIL!! You're welcome to ride anytime. Sorry you had to wait around so long but that is possibly the most people I think we have ever had at an event. We also had some re-run problems in the first group.
