Yep I'm comin' out on Saturday, in theory, if I get these engines out. One is built and the other one will be built tomorrow/Thur. If all is good, I'm heading out to Bryan's @ BNR first. I'll be there Sat and Sun, possibly Monday.. From there, I'd like to head up to your area Mike in Huntsville on Mon-Tues. From there, it'll be straight up to your place in Murphressboro, Dave.

I've been wanting to hang out w/ you guys since I was there in December. Can't wait to come up. This time I can bring some flicks!

Sounds great. I need a little heads up so I can take off those days. Monday and Tuesday will be fine but I need it in writing so to speak! I also want to make sure the dyno has an opening.

Alrighty guys, an update... I'm heading out to Bryan's on Saturday. Should be in Birmingham, AL Saturday evening, reasonably, if I leave early enough. I'm bringing the bridgeport FC. You guys can make fun of my paintjob and hail damaged hood; I don't mind.

Anyways, my plan is to do some tuning on Sunday before heading up to Huntsville Sun night/Monday morning. If anyone's interested that hasn't already msg'd me, call me on my cell at 214-728-4198. I'll be up in Huntsville for a few days after that. From there, I am heading up to Garfinkle's place up in Murphreesboro, TN so I'd love to see all you Nashville scumbags again.

Consider my schedule flexible since I have my own car this go-around. I can go anywhere provided I've got some business to do and money to earn. I'm bringing my grubby work clothes so if someone needs some mechanical work I can help out depending on what the job is and what kind of deal we come to.

Met up with Brian and Mike last night. I wish my car was complete and ready to tune (theme song of all rotorheads).

Well me and Brian pulled the motor, fixed the oil leak and she is alive and running really nice for the small amount of time Brian spent semi-tuning so far. Car starts up like the stock motor with no effort. So the plan is to tune Friday and maybe if all goes well race fuel and on to the dyno!! Brian is a great guy. I am very happy he came to town to help out and provide his services.. More later!!

All went great. Car runs very strong. Brain is a great guy to have not only tune/work on your car but hang around with. So Brian tuned it to 13.8psi on the street and up 20- 22psi on the dyno. We made the first pull on the dyno with race gas but still on street boost and it made 342. Best pull was a 420 at 21.4psi and a 422 at 22.5 psi but on that pull the car blew off one of the silicone couplers and T-clamp up top so I think it hurt the pull a little. We have a new dyno opening in Huntsville and I am going to put it on it to verify these numbers.

I still don't trust those figures given how I was controlling the spark advance as well as how much boost the motor was running on 115L. In any event, it went pretty well.

Hey Thomas, shoot me an email so I can send you these maps and logs.

.

Drove the car tonight and it is a best at 1.56 bars (23psi!) Kinda scared me at the top of 3rd. Tire spin bad in second and third!! I can say my car did not pull this hard before when it made 427 on the dyno. I may just have to run 115 gas everyday!

Brian tuned my car and it runs great. I recommend his tuning to anyone with a rx7.
