Lol thanks guys. Unfortunately I wont be able to make either of the orlando meets. But depending on finding some work down there I may be moving back soon. My cousin was talking about taking me to ybor city friday or saturday night and that always promises a good time.

Ybor City is ok. Too many knuckleheads still even after they increased Law Enforcement over the last several years. That being said...you know a fun place to go in Ybor City? The Castle.
It's a Goth oriented bar that has been around for like 20yrs but no one looks at you weird or gives you **** if you go in dressed like a straight prep frat boy (what I must have looked like). Decent music...different scene...but I had a good time.

I was just there as a tourist as well. St. Petersburg has the Salvador Dali museum - his largest collection of artwork this side of the Atlantic.
In Tampa for the kids is a Science & Industry museum. Kids love the second floor - experiencing Hurricanes, Earthquakes, etc. -- third floor was about reproduction... and it's expensive to get in - but they do have an IMAX theatre if the projector is working.
I ended up driving a bit South to Anna Maria Island. It was just what the doctor ordered. Peace, quiet, relaxation and a nice beach to walk along. On the public pier there is a restaurant - with the best lobster bisque I've ever had. (Sherry and real lobster meat in it.)
Recommended by a New York Gourmand - but I didn't try it and maybe you can and report back... was in Ybor - a restaurant named Season 52. Suppose to be really good - and not expensive. Let us know...
