Who would you guys recomend to tune a MicroTech in Miami? So far it looks as though World Wide Racing, may be the best option down here..eventhough I have heard about Crispeed

Rolo is the best rotary microtech tuner in orlando period. Look at his credentials. For example who tunes jesus "Kilo" padilla all motor rx7? ROLO. Who tunes quiles 3rd gen rx7 in pr with 979hp on a 13b? ROLO. Who tunes ken schepers 980hp rx8?ROLO. He also haves his own rotary datsun 1200 with a 12a on alcohol and nitrous only and runs consistent 6.2's in lakeland and never braking any thing. Yes GAby SKern is good and one of the most sought out tuners in PR right now .But give credit where is due, To me i just think Rolo does not like to mess with young punks that have rotarys because they wine and cry to much . Thats y u only see his rotary work on veteran rotary guys and barely any young guys car. Just my 2cents

whine and cry too much? i know your not talking to me....for your information up until Rolo blew my motor I gave him ALOT of buisness and ALOT of my money... never once did i complain to him. never once did i cry to him. I am the youngest person on here to talk about his work and FYI every other person thats here talking about Rolo's shotty work and the way he runs his mouth too much, has been around rotarys for a long time......So shut your ****** mouth before you start blabbing about **** you dont know

Not at all, I've personally spanked a white supercharged & Microtech civic, that was "tuned" by CFT, with my wife's 91 N/A Rx-7 using the stock ECU. We are talking about a guy that boosted a engine, 3 times, to 43 psi, when he was told nothing more then 14. Why did it happen? Because he changed all my values in the Profect B. He cranked up the values, turned of the boost limiter & set boost warning to 20psi. He even had the nerve to tell me that he had to watch AFR & not boost. OK, that's fine, but why not let out of the gas when the HKS boost gauge pinned out at 2bar? Couldn't see it because he was looking at AFR? OK, what about the Profec turning red at him to show over boost? Still not enough to know boost is too high? OK, what about when the Blitz turbo timer it glowing red & beeping? He knew it was over boosting because the car was telling him with lights & bells all over the place.

Blame this blown engine on not being built right? No way! 43+ psi & never blew a seal. Motor was STRONG! CFT was the weak link.

He said the air fuel ratio was safe the whole time. >> BS << (remember, "he was watching the AFR & not boost") Here, you do the math. Two 720cc & two 1000cc injectors at a base fuel pressure of 40psi, rising on a 1:1 ratio w/ a walbro 255LPH pump feeding them is good for a safe air fuel ratio at 43+ psi on a GT35R BB turbo? LOL Let me help, that's not even close to enough fuel for that much boost on the GT35R & there for, the AFR wasn't safe.

I don't think anyone here is at all convinced that CFT has the fastest anything, anywhere. But, they are certainly fast at blowing up engines.

I feel the need to continue on with this a bit. Keep in my that my car, he was tuning that day has no corners cut at all. I built the car, it's done right. Before this day, I've tuned with Rolo 3 or 4 times. Each time the map got better, but not great. (couldn't even get staging to be smooth) On this day, he looked tiered, just got another car off the dyno & I don't think his hart was in it. As a result, it cost me a blown engine. Remember, we the we drove the car there, (2 hour drive) and never had so much as a hick-up. Put the car on the dyno, he missed with the Profec & MT values, did 3 pulls and pop. The car never over boosted the whole way there, during the 2 hour drive. Nor had it over boosted before that.

Sure, I know things can happen, but, there is line where the tuner just drops the ball. If this happens, they should step up & take care of the problems they caused. It's what separates a good shop from a bad one.

Here's a old picture of the engine before the GT35R & before rolo blew it, but you get the idea. No slacking off here.

I always question Rolo. I question everyone who goes near my car...From onlookers, to engine builders, to tiuners, to myself. Never once has Rolo been rude. I'm a little surprised of what's being said. Until then I'm sticking with him. There are guys in Dallas & Ft Worth that I would rather see, but I'm not there...I'm here now.

Hey you have good memory...that meeting was like back in 02. Still have the Haltech. Don't see myself switching to a Microtech anytime soon. The only experience that i can see Rolo doing on a Microtech was Davis..whose a really close friend of mine. I was simply stating the whole rudeness thing.

I started this thread because I need a Microtech tuner in Florida. It's gotten way out of hand. If someone tells me a guy blew his engine and did not make it right, enough said, I'm looking elsewhere.

I will schedule with Gaby at Fuego Racing as there appears to be no one in NE Florida.

U call ur car performance jajajja please ,i was doing 11s on a white 2 gen way back on drag radials and cruising and when i say cruising i mean 2.2 60ft and still went 11.6 at 130 mph didn't want to brake nothing owner said to take it easy, with only 480 rwhp pump gas...

Top it off, it didn't make nearly as much HP as his, from your own words. Your talking **** about 500+ HP 13BT but pages before, you couldn't shut up about how the tuners you know can make those #'s & a 360HP FD was 'so fast, nothing could touch it'

I ran 11.59@99 missing 4rth 2 weeks ago
and 100MPH in the 1/8 mile
with a 1.63 60' foot (slipping the clutch)...I've done 1.48 60' before (dumping the clutch)
at 20 PSI boost)

My car is not a 1st gen that weights 2200Ibs
my car wieghts 2930Ibs with me in it....now more that I added a 8 point roll cage
I never ever brag or hype my car
only people like you..hype my car

Look at every FC thats making over 500HP
thats not a stripped never sees the street POS

ForcedFed in Canada
went 10.7@131 with 560rwhp

I have no illusions of what my car should run
Have no Illusions of what boost/setup it takes to dip into the mid 10's
MORE then what I'm running....

I have a very "basic" "street" setup


My engine ?
eh almost 2 years running hard

only cause I missed 4rth gear
and revved the motor pass 10K
the nut holding the oil pump assembly came loose with the vibration
and the front bearing gave out
destroying the E-shaft and front stationary
everything else is in perfect shape
Nothing to do with tuning

I even drove it home 15 miles
from the track

inquiring about those who like to be in for a tune

We need like 4+ cars and he'll come up

which is already covered locally
theres quite a few projects and microtech installs being done
or planned.........


I will be making some calls
and seeing when he is available

I know also I need to give everyone a good advance notice
to have there cars ready

He is available world wide
with enough interest

Perfect..........At least if it blows on the dyno while tunning, I'll know it was me who screwed up on the rebuild. My setup should be enough for 400hp, but I'll be happy with 300-350 to the wheels.

First I have to see if it even starts. And if it does, then I have to break her in.
