Anyone use Central Florida Turbo?

Central Florida Turbo in Orlando was recommended to me for tuning on my FD Microtech. Anyone have any experience with this shop?

last time i went there rolo said he doesnt tune rx7's. b/c of the motors blah blah blah. but i think if u sign a consent form he will. hes just scared that if it goes in the process he will be held liable. but call and talk to him( good peoples never the less). i would wait for GABY from P.R. my boy CJ got his T2 tuned by him. he comes from the island a few times a year and i hear is real good.

DEAR GOD NO!!!!!! do not go to Rolo....he blew my motor about 3 months ago. and also everybody else that goes to him complains that his timing maps are the worst. do what RXn407 said and wait for Gaby....he is the best. ROLO SUCKS!!! and is probably the worst buisness man ive ever delt with as well. when i went to talk to him about my motor blowing the day after he "tuned" my car.....he spit at my feet. Then got in my face infront of like 10 customers.

CFT = Motor go POP! He blew mine too. They won't cover a dime of it. I told him no more then 14 psi, so he ended up boosting to 43 psi, 3 times!! Then he wonders why he keeps blowing up engines.

WOW!!!! THATS WHY HE RESPONDED TO ME AS HE DID! I knew it was something along those lines. he asked me ,"what do you have; a honda?" and I said "NO" a RX7 and he said in spanish that he doesnt like them that he's had issues in the past. But nights before all these lakeland events I see a bunch of race teams there dynoing and getting ready for the event? I guess its who you know????? BTW I mentioned Gaby cuz my boy got microtech and I heard you mention it too.-Erik

my boss at sound advice had his turbo in his 240 changed there, they kinked the oil return line he drove the car the day after not knowing on the high way the line broke dumped all the oil and blew his motor. He went back and they said that its not there fault or problem. this is just one more horror story about CFT!

I've seen a couple of cars pop up at CFT. I have a buddy that lives right behind them, so we go over there from time to time. He's blew a honda when we where over there. Rolo will turn your engine into a hand grenade, beware..

There is a guy that comes Puerto Rico every few months to visit . All the big horsepower rx7's here use him. His name is Gaby and owns Sporty Racing down there. I absolutely love how my car is performing. Usually will use the dyno at Titan Motorsports in Orlando. Pm me if interested.

I went into CFT for the first time one day, and got completely ignored by the guys there. I was literally waiting for about 10mins and no one offered to help me......then I left.

I know of other people on the forums that Rolo has blown their engines too. Unless they post, I want drop any names. Keep in mind that for the few people that come in & say something, there's many more that don't.

Because he boosted my car to 43+ psi, I believe he killed the 2 bar Map sensor in the MicroTech too. Meaning, it will have to go back to MT for repair. Out the Engine & EMS because of them.

Arrow For me

In rx7 it have been proven # 1 my daddy (CRISPEED) the only bad thing is that u need to drive to miami to tune it but is worthhhhhhhhhh it ,he can do haltech ,micro-tech .aem, u name it,and it have been proven he is the god of rx7 ,when i use to drive his old 600+rwhp 2nd gen nobody touch that beast ,and i am a hardcore street and drag racing guy.

Also prove it on the 87 2ndgen stock eng stock turbo that i did 12.7 108 mph 12psi of boost..

Also when he did the 94 bpu stock 3Rdgen 360+RWHP NO PORTS ON THE ENG AND NO TURBOS PORT IT 18psi, it was unbeaten also here, i race the fastest bpu supras here in Orlando on those days and they all went down by again crispeed tuning no body touch that thing....

And also prove that he is a haltech god with the silver 3rd gen that made 600+ rwhp that is unbeaten that soon will race somebody's 1000hp + supra and of course i have my money on him but they first need to do some changes on the car.......

I cant wait for a customer to bring him a 3rotor for him to tune is going to be nasty...

goodluck...

I remember u, i was there it was like 3 moths a go ,and iam sorry but the minute u came in i heard that eng,and it sound it weak ,and remember no tuner can do miracles they just tune cars...

And remember not always is the tuner it can be how the eng was build,u can have perfect tuning ,but if the eng is not built right ti will capoonnnnnnnnn...

I remember i saw partraders yellow 2nd gen with big single turbo at the dyno brake eng baddd when Gaby was tuning it ,why eng was build bad and it was weak..

it happends to evry tuner and specially when they did not build the engine,i am sure my daddy crsipeed have some of those stories when an eng cant hold his owsome tuning because of the bad way eng was build..

i hope it helps..

you remember me? interesting cuz i dont remember you.....where you there the day he tuned my car?

my car was fine b4 i came to rolo....granted it flooded when i tried to start it hot. but most all 2nd gens do with upgraded injectors and stock ecu. JOSE FUEGO built my motor and I have 100% confidence in all his work. I beat on my car for 4 months before i came to Rolo and the Day after i came to him the motor blows as i am casually driving to school

if you where there did you not hear Rolo take my motor WAY past redline? did you hear when the turbo started making funny noises and he carried on? did you see when he turned my crank angle sensor while adjusting to the wrong mark?

**** rolo and CFT

None of us here live in a Honda world
Ryan so your "Spying" don't mean **** here

Rolo did my friend Davis' 93 CYM...I think He's CYMTKT on here. We both felt he did a great job. Car ran low 12's on stock twins, and street tires. Good EGT's and conservative timing. The motor was built by Chad @ ASI. Davis is currently in Vegas...with like over 35K miles on the motor. Not as strong as new, but still running 12's I never have a problem with Rolo..Courteous to me...Granted I don't roll into CFT like I own the place, & I've never seen Rolo be rude to anyone. and I've know him for 5 years. He was recommended to me, by Rotary guys in DFW. Before I came school at ERAU.

Its my opinion having had my car tuned by both of them
that gaby is better...

He owns and races mazda's
tunes rotaries everyday in PR
and is more careful

Shoot Rolo did a good job
tuning my car with out a dyno! ..just free revving the motor
that takes skill

car went 11.7@118 on Drag Radials

He does have a temper
there is no disagreeing with him
its his way or the highway...... (this is what ended our relationship)

others have had diffrent experiences
I'm just posting mine

My friend Juan
got his TII tuned there at CFT (400 HP)
and the car has been on the road for over 2 years on the same motor

and quite a few other mazda's have had there cars tuned there with good success

and yes some things are not a tuner's fault
a bad fuel pump
bad fuel
low voltage
bad wastegate
weak motor...etc

and some of the bad rap Rolo has gotton
has been unfair on those "non" tuner issues
How you deal with it
is what in the end keeps that person as a customer or disgruntled one

I hope no one takes my
statement saying "gaby" is better tuning Rotaries then Rolo
as dissing Rolo

CFT 's Sergio, Fernando and Javier
are real real cool guys and know there stuff

Rolo can be a fun guy to hang with too
just don't cross him.....

Rolo= good
Gaby=better

I know Davis as well. He finally got that car running decent after he switched to Microtech. We have pretty much the same set-up. Probably about as exact as you can get. (Same builder, intercooler set-up, etc.) I don't know the exact numbers/a/f/r's he had though).
