I was in J-ville years ago... we had a good rotary crowd and got together monthly with a group from Wilmington... good times.. and still have at least 1 close friend from those days, his FD is in my garage and he (with family) is in Okinawa... also keep in touch with another friend from back then too, he's in Detroit now...

anyway, with enough warning on date, I would be willing to make a trip down for a weekend for a rotary meet (... would be great if I could sleep on a floor or camp out in a backyard of another owner... =D )

I'm glad to see we have some folks keeping things alive around here...its been a while. I'm in Jacksonville, and currently working on 2 rotary projects, and a third once i begin mine. Building my sons car currently, simple 12a bridgeported, and my neighbor from 3 doors down also has a 12a bridgeported, so we make lots of brap brap noise!
I would love to have a meet up and see some familiar old school faces and new ones if possible.

That thing is nice! What do you have done to it? I see the racing beat hood.
I'm available to meet up. I think Sunday the 12 would be a good day. I'm willing to host a bunch of rotaries at my place and put burgers and hotdogs on the grill for everyone.

I’m nursing a 4” incision in my stomach for a hernia type ailment. In all honesty I’m probably a no show. That pisses me off. Jacksonville is 112 miles which isn’t a big deal. I’m just going to have to play it by ear. I’m not ruling this trip out. Especially since I’m contemplating selling my 7 and I wouldn’t mind hanging with some rotarheads. So let me know!!

Well, I'm proposing the 12 of July, at my place. I am open to options or suggestions. If I get a head count I'll gladly provide the food. Also...you can't sell that 7, we won't let you! Lol

I've seen a red one with copper rims, and a black one. There's a sick white one in New Bern.

Current project. Fresh install on the 8.8, waiting on rims to show up and get it to the shop to have the driveshaft done and a panhard bar installed.

Sounds fun, but unfortunately this is my weekend to work. Maybe some other time if I'm not working since I'm always down for a good ride in the FD.

Saturday get togethers on the coast would work better for me so I'm not rushed to get back to the mountains by Monday morning. If anyone would be interested in a mountain meet, let me know and I can plan something.

... now if only we had someone in the middle of the state willing to coordinate a meet...

So maybe next Saturday would be best. I'm down for that.
