Hey guys. I know this is a NW FL thread, but I live in Tallahassee, and it seems as if I'm the only forum member between you lot an the Jax guys, so I mean it would be a blast to meet some of you and make some friends, have a few brews, grill some food, you know.

Have any of you guys considered heading east to like PC, Mexico Beach, or Cape San Blas for a bigger meet? Maybe even St. George Island?

Gettin there! Wish mine was. I did the unthinkable Dumbest Thing You Can Possibly Do by accident yesterday and now my car won't start. I'm so embarassed but in haste to get out of the rain as I was working on my car [I don't have a garage] yesterday, I grounded the B terminal of the alternator to my UIM. And before that, My NEW alternator would only illuminate Hatch, Brake, Door, Washer, and Engine lights when I just turn the key to on, the rest were real dim. Same story now. Still won't start too. I replaced the alternator thinking it had bad bearings causing me to shred belts, but it didn't help. No electrical load on the alt and everything is tip top all the way to 9000rpm. I'm not good with electrical stuff guys. I really need my car running because it's my daily. I know there's got to be a million threads on this so I'm trying to not have to post another but I'm running out of options and time.

EDIT: Just went out and the car started the first time after a jump. Drove it around and she drives like normal. Now, this is all with NO ELECTRICAL LOAD attached to the alternator, in or out. When I have them attached, she does the original problem, which is slings alt belts OFTEN, ad squeals, whines, and smokes the belt at idle with them attached - my original problem. I do have a multimeter, but what should I be looking for? Where should I check?

I have all the stock pulleys. I took the pulley off the new alt I have and rolled it across my very flat terazzo floor to check it. It waved up and down and didn't spin in a straight line. Which means the speed of my engine warped my pulley. Going Banzai dual-sheave partially because I get two Gates Greenbacks with it. Will report back.

There's a guy who lives here in Tallahassee with a 95 and a PowerFC. His forum name is sbnrx7. If you go to my page he has posted some things there. You FD guys having trouble with PowerFC should get a hold of him and talk to him. His name is Steve and he's a really cool guy.

Welcome to the area Spam! We have some 7 guys here in Tallahassee, but just a handful. I'm shooting for PCB to be a Panhandle meeting spot, if we could get a big meet together.

I'll be home in the late summer. (I think) My FD will be finished by then. New ignition, wheels re-finished, rebuilt driveline, new tires, new turbo set up (T04Z), and a little different exterior mods.

Welcome to the area brother!
