Andretti Speed Lab & Sushi dinner Sat. 10/27/06
Hello Rotorheads,
Anyone up for meeting an out of town Rotorhead this weekend? Ashraf, from the Raleigh/Durham, NC area will be in ATL for the weekend and would like to meet up with some Rotorheads for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. He wants to do the indoor cart racing on Saturday night, so www.AndrettiSpeedLabs.com after dinner of Sushi at www.Badayori.com
Post up if you want to come out to both places, or one or the other place.
Also is there any local food (not Varsity) that Ashraf should experience, perhaps on Friday night?
Holly

I take it Andretti Speed Labs isn't the same as their indoor family go kart park?
Unless it has changed names recently?
That URL doesn't work.
(Edit: Apparently it's the same place... I've been wanting to go their for a long while but it's a 3-hour drive from here...and an hour even from my uncle's house in Peachtree City..maybe if a friend wants to go and split the cost I'll consider it, although it seems unlikely)
BTW, just how far are those karts from competition karts in terms of performance? They look similar, minus the roll bar, and the crash protection, and of course, the fact that it uses a four-stroke engine.
Do they at least use the same chassis and tires?)
(I take that back, it's only two hours away according to MapQuest)

Do you know how much it costs?
They don't list it on their site...
According to another site, the cart rental is 20 bucks and the "license" is 7.
According to a review they charge for everything and the customer service is bad.

How about we meet at Badayori in Sandy Springs between 6:30 and 7PM on Saturday? And then Andretti Speed Lab around 9:00PM.
www.badayori.com Saturday, October 28th 6:30 to 7:00PM
www.andrettispeedlab.com Saturday, October 28th around 9:00PM
Hopefully this will work for everyone who is not going out to Halloween parties.

Ashraf has selected Alpha Soda as the place to eat on Friday night.
www.alphasoda.com
If you plan to meet up with us, let me know, as Friday night we will need to know how many seats for dining.
The best way to keep in touch after Friday afternoon is to PM me your cell phone, then I will PM mine.

Cool! More rotorheads the merrier! See you at the seminar. I'll be the asian guy with Deals Gap T-shirt (LOL!). Do you have a place to stay? David has a hotel and I think he might be looking for a roommate. I'm staying with relatives that evening.

Your 1st choice is probably more correct. You can always call to get prices.
I have had my fill of indoor karting this year at a private karting facility, just before Petit LeMans.
