AE86 for FC?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone would want to do a straight up trade on my AE86 Hatchback for an FC.

Full GTS conversion

LSD

Stage 2 Exedy Performance Clutch

Brembo Slotted

Cold Air Intake

It just needs the cat bolted on (which i have) and muffler/tailpipe (Dont have but its easy enough to find one cheap) and a relay for the EFI which i am going to be getting in the next week and installing myself.

MT and good enough for a daily driver

Edit: I also have plenty of extras as well

Spare starter, spare hoses, spare interior plastics if you want them, two spare seats.

as far as the extras go, take what you want.

I'll give you 800 for it with giving you keeping the parts you have plus me giving you back parts if you want to try and sell such as.....engine, tranny and rear end. Whats the interior look like...dash, etc...? Basically im just interested in the body.

Lol, if youd expect a GTS corolla for anything under 1,500 and id ask you what your smoking. Especially one thats not stock. If i was asking for an FD i'd understand the blown part. I've seen FC's go for as cheap as 500.00.

i smoke ..does not mean im stupid but prices went up for the corolla because of initial d. and the whole drift scene.still does not mean people who know what a car is worth are going to get fucked in the ***...500 dollar fc..of course not running ,nasty interior and what more do you want for a rust bucket..and a non turbo..a blown T2 down here is an arm and a leg..sell it and start out small amigo.i suggest you start smoking for trying to intice such a ridiculous trade . good luck . i got 800 bux when your ready .

Lol, they did go up because of the whole initial d trade, but I cant let my car go for 800.00. Its modified, new lsd, new stage 2 exedy clutch, brembo slotted, Redone interior, Rebuilt 4age motor.

If you looked on 4ag I could easily sell it for 2k plus, but I was looking to get into the rotary engines. I honestly didnt think it was a bad trade. Running FC's go for 500-700. Most expensive one ive seen was 1500.

Initial D tax doesn't apply here.

Lol if I recall the FC and FD AND Rx8 were in Initial D as well. im not hating, if you think its not worth that much, go try and find a STOCK GTS hatch for that price. If you can find one that isnt being sold by an old lady that has no idea its a good Drift car, i will be seriously suprised.

I did do research actually. And if you read you could tell all I wanted was an FC that was MT and in good condition.

Whats crazy is you want to give me 800.00 for my car. Honestly dude, Go try and find even an SR5 for that cheap. its not happening.

Valkyrie, I can understand how you would think that, but honestly Initial D doesn't have as much of an effect on it as you think. www.club4ag.com is a nice place to check. All the people there that pay that much for their cars actually drift them. The corolla scene isnt filled with a bunch of 12 year olds who want to go out and buy a "Trueno" with the "11,000 RPM Engine" and "Drift Like Takumi." Granted, some are there, but its not as bad as you think. People pay this much because the cars are a pain in the *** to find.

Initial D tax affects EVERY car (AE86 that is) sold on Club4AG. Here you can get a fairly decent deal on an FC.

Also, the term "Initial D tax" doesn't just refer to ID fans willing to pay too much for an AE86... it's just a humorous reference to drift culture all together.

And the RX8 was only in the video game... never the manga/anime.

And ironically, the AE86 only came to fame because they USED to be extremely cheap and available.

the only reason its "worth" so much is becuase of drifting..before that..nicer & faster corolla's were real cheap..damn the ricer movement..

Yeah, it does effect the price of everything, Look at the price of FD's its almost as much as a brand new RX8. Tell me thats not because of keisukes Yellow Red Suns FD lol.

What do you mean? Most FD's can be had from anywhere from 10K to 15K.

And much, much cheaper in Japan for the older models.

Not to mention if ANYTHING had an affect on the sales of FDs it would be TF&TF, unfortunately, haha. Some of the newer young guys anyway, although that's not why I got mine. I've never even SEEN Initial D, nor do I want to.

I sold my SR5 for $50 with a blown head gasket. Everything else was perfect on the car.

Don't beleive me, search it on SEDA (Southeastdrift.com).

I can get a bone stock GTS coupe here with 76k on the clock for $1500, and it hasn't been ragged. All your mods tell me is that you have pushed the car. I can get you $1000 for it because it is a GTS and has been "ragged."

Not trying to insult you, but that's way above kelly blue book. Excelant condition with 100k on the clock at KBB is $900.

The drift scene has shot the prices of a once affordable drifter (what made the AE86 popular, along with inital D), to outragious. For 2k you can get a KA24DE nissan 240, and imho it is more of a drifter out the box, with more uses (IE drag racing, etc, etc.)

$1000 here if you are interested.
