FL **Sebring October 2-3** TRACK event; Pettit Racing invite

Hey guys, i received this email from Pettit Racing. I will be going for sure. Just wanted to pass it in case more people are interested...

Sebring Oct 2-3. NASA-FL Track Event, come out and get some laps in on the same historic 3.7 mile course that the 12 Hours of Sebring runs

With driving groups for everyone even if you have absolutely no experience, its no problem, an instructor will be assigned to you, now there are no more excuses.

Plenty of staff and team members from Pettit will be on hand providing support for our customers and rotary powered vehicles in general.

For more info please visit the event page.

The Pettit team will also be available for Q&A, tech support and to help with setup advice / recommendations between track sessions, come check it out.

*Important info if you plan to attend. Please send us your full first and last name so we may add you to the guest list. info@pettitracing.com

i'll never run my car at sebring again

if you plan on going to a track event and bringing your car back in one piece....the last place you want to step foot on is sebring

great track...but its the car breaker...thats why all the racing teams through the nation bring their cars there to test for strength in reliability because its the the track where everything is guaranteed to break

definitely not a place to bring a car that you have great feeling for cus you'll leave in tears and in a huge debt on ur credit card lol

I do not agree. Sebring is a spectacular track and plenty of fun for the mighty RX-7. If you do plan on going to Sebring, there are a few things that you should do before getting to the track-

1.) Have a healthy car. Do not bring a car that is in poor condition, or that has mechanical issues.
2.) Nut and Bolt the entire car. Sebring is fun, but bumpy, especially turn 17- you will have loose bolts come right off
3.) Do not drive at 10/10ths until you and the car are ready-
4.) Get there early to get a good spot to park/pit/etc.
5.) Get a room at the Chateau to have a good, close place to rest, use the restroom, etc.

In my opinion, if you follow these guidelines, you will have a great time-

+1 Sebring will beat your car to hell...not a smooth surface to race on by any means...which always amazes me how cars go 12 hours on it.

+1 on exceptional fun though

It's tuff to decide... Indy Racing at Homestead which is 45 mins away or go watch Pettit at Sebring which is 2 hrs away ?????

Time to flip a coin....

HOMESTEAD it is..... I want to run my FD on a track BUT not at Sebring... Been there many times to watch the 12 hours but I would hate to rip my front bumper off cause of the track..
