I got it brand new. Its not the exhaust its the camera that makes it sound crappy, i just put a video on streetfire of my shooting flames with the slincer on, I'll link it when its ready.

You paid $475.00 for the entire turbo back brand new? Where did you find it? Also, do you have sound clip with the silencer out? That'd be awesome.

Like my friend's RB exhaust on his FC a lot more than that one, a little too loud for my tastes.

first make sure your DP or any other part of your exhaust is not coming in contact with the under body of the car. This alone will turn the sound on the pipe into a microphone. Then if that does not do the trick get yourself a borla xr-1 oval from jegs and use it as a midpipe. I have this on my turbo vert now and it gave it a deep rumble like a exotic italian car. Best overall sound improvement I have ever heard for 100 bucks.
I am however building a 4 inch new system now and this time I went with SS magnaflows from jegs. These are made better than the borla in my opinion. We put them up to the back of a friends HKS hyper exhaust that was ricey loud and it changed the sound to a deep rumble up and he fell in love with it and we are welding one up for him this weekend.

Here is a pic of the $106 dollar magnaflow oval I will be using for the midpipe.

You can listen to these other kids but if you want a better sounding exhaust system go with this method. And its also striaght thru so there are little to no performance losses.

Talking

Record with a better mic of some kind, it sounds awful like that but I can't tell how it would actually sound in real life.
