yeah, that's the only way to describe it. of all the in-car vids i've seen of cars that turn in 7, 8, 9 sec passes, there's something that video captures that the rest completely miss...this is the first time in a long time that i've downloaded a car vid and not been disappointed!

and the way that guy drives...the time between those first couple of shifts is so short, i don't think anybody could react to a car that fast, he must just "know" when it's time. either way, excellent vid!

I was being sarcastic when i said who cares about that nowadays.

But you have to understand, drag racing is america's racing. Been out since forever and still going strong to this day.

Everything we live for revolves around drag racing if you think about it.

When new cars are being produced, whats highlighted in its stats? 0-60 time, then followed by 1/4 time. HP and TRQ are a favorite and will always be. People want power.

When people see a car on the road that they get intimidated by, they "race", or "going straight".

When you're stuck behind a slow *** driver and you want to pass him hard cause you're pissed off, you're going straight.

Almost everything we do revolves around drag or straight line racing when you think about it. You may not "love" it but you do practice it daily.

Cause i doubt people who buy cars are gonna go find a deserted narrow hill and do "touge". It just doesnt happen. Thats like people who play checkers.

.2% of the car enthusiast population lol

I was just playing around too I respect your opinion, you make some good points.
I find it shocking though that engineers would go through all the trouble of making
a vehicle perform on every level just to make .2% of the car enthusiast population
happy

A Supra has to have a substantial horsepower advantage over an RX7 to win in a straight line anyway.
