i got 3 minutes in and i couldnt watch anymore, its hard to deal with that camera movement when your sitting in a computer chair still, heh, still good though.

whaaaat? Thats slooow, didn't a lady by the name of Sabine Schneidt do the ring in a time of like 10 minutes 3 seconds in a stock VAN!?! Juuuust messin with ya, I think shes's done more laps on that course then most anyone and drives the ring taxi.

Great vid, and I can't wait to make it over there to see what kind of pathetic time I can manage.

 

Sabine Schmidt is her name - she's grown up 2km from the nurburgring and is the only female ever to win a 24 hour race on the nurburgring itself. She's been a race driver her whole life, She's done over 20,000 laps in her life and yes - she is one of the drivers of the ring taxi.

 

Its was 9mins and 3 sec in a Ford Transit van :p

Seriously though, AWESOME video and great run! I've messed around on PGR3 but as good as that is, it's not real.

I watch that show religiously, but couldn't remember the time exactly. Anyway, consider yourself lucky to be able to have such a track near you

 

No it wasnt, she couldnt manage under 10 minutes in it. She was racing Jeremy clarkson - she did 9 mins 3 sec in a jaguar S type diesel, Jeremy did just under 10 minutes. She then drove a stripped out transit round in about 10 minutes 23 seconds.

im by no means a professional driver, and couldve gone MUCH faster than 9:15 in my stock FD - problem being is if you get caught filming you are fined and thrown off the track. I didnt want to drive fast and crash whilst videoing as the police investigate all accidents at the nurburgring, so if i HAD have crashed i couldve been left with injuries, no car, a 2k bill for the track i damage (as you have to pay for it) AND dangerous driving charges with video evidence to prove it! Lol

I now have just bought a bullet camera, its the size of an AA battery so next year i will be using that, going faster and will be circa 280whp so look forward to the next vid around march/april time

But jeez - 7:42 is DAMN Fast! The world record is 6:11 set by Stefan Bellof in a porsche 956 - thats a full out GT Car.

I am impressed!
